Flame Cap Farming Guide

Flame Caps are consumable herbs from the Burning Crusade expansion that provide a buff to fire spell damage and continue to be used by fire-based caster DPS even in Cataclysm. This Flame Cap farming guide will give you the best route to pick this useful herb. It can only be found in the Zangarmarsh zone in Outland as well as the three dungeons within that zone.

• Flame Cap requires an Herbalism skill of 335 to pick, but they can be used by anyone above level 55
• Found exclusively in the Zangarmarsh zone in Outland as well as the three dungeons in that zone (The Slave Pens, The Steamvault, and The Underbog)

• This is the only location to farm Flame Caps outside of dungeons.
• While the herb can spawn on some of the small islands, it will be most efficient to avoid the larger bodies of water since it will be scarce in those locations.
• The center of the map (Serpent Lake, Twin Spire Ruins, and The Lagoon) is relatively barren, so you could opt to avoid it altogether and stick to one side or the other.
