PvE Subtlety Rogue Rotation & Cooldowns

Subtlety Rogues have one of the easiest rotations to perform among the majority of the DPS Specializations. In this section of the guide, we will go over the rotation and abilities of Subtlety Rogue, in both Single-Target and AoE/Cleave encounters.

Single-Target Rotation

Opener

1. Apply Instant Poison to your Main-hand Weapon
2. Apply Deadly Poison to your Off-Hand Weapon/Thrown Weapon
3. Cast Stealth
4. Cast Premeditation
5. Cast Shadowstep
6. Cast Ambush to damage your target and trigger Find Weakness
7. Cast Recuperate to increase your energy regeneration

Normal Rotation

1. Activate Slice and Dice & Maintain it
2. Cast Rupture after Hemorrhage or a similar effect is applied
3. Cast Recuperate and upkeep it to maintain energy regeneration
4. Cast Eviscerate to damage your target and refresh Rupture
5. Cast Hemorrhage to debuff your target and upkeep the bleed effect from the Glyph of Hemorrhage
6. Cast Backstab (Main Combo Points generator)

Burst Phase

1. Cast Shadow Dance
   • Spam Ambush while Shadow Dance is active
2. Cast Vanish
   • Use the opener after Vanish ( Premeditation + Ambush) to trigger Find Weakness
3. Cast Preparation to reset Vanish and use the opener again after Find Weakness expires

AoE/Cleave Rotation

1. Cast Fan of Knives (In AoE encounters)
2. Maintain Single-Target Rotation and weave in Fan of Knives every once in a while (In Cleave encounters)
