Holy warlock batman.
I'm super surprised. Warlock is historically the least played pure dps class in the game, and is only played more than druids and only sometimes priests across most vanilla servers.
I've wanted to enjoy warlock, and Nightfall is an amazingly fun thing to have with the insta-cast Bolts, but I hate lifetap and having to stop dps to emo myself.
I've leveled every class to max level at some point in my wow history and I have to say the Warrior was by and large the most fun. It's rough early on, but that payoff is fantastic!
We've rocketed up to 379 votes, wow! Still seeing huge warlock/warrior dominance, but even more surprising is probably Druid in 3rd spot!

Yeah wow. Druid and Warlock are usually the two least-played. It isn't a giant sample size, though.
Additionally, I worry that lots of people will roll fury warrior and be disappointed both by having so much competition for raid spots and dungeons from other fury warriors and that the preraid gear that really unlocks their potential won't be in the game until later potentially. They will not be a the big dps machines they are hyped up as in a lot of the community.
Honestly Gensei, I'd be happy that so many people are trying Warrior and just aren't likely to stick with it.
If everyone who first selects a Warrior as their main sees the process through and makes 60, then the class population will be completely out of control and lessen the 'easier to level' classes that are perhaps not as good at the end.

Hm, I'm not sure I am getting your point here...?
I don't think the majority of people envisioning this dream Warrior scenario are going to get to 60.
I'm glad about that as hopefully it'll encourage more variation of class and specs.

I think you're right. Leveling a warrior isn't everyone's cup of tea. I know I have never leveled one from 1-60 on priv servers or back in vanilla (I think I got into the 40's twice). I love warriors, and I have always played Fury (even before it was good/popular) but never committed enough to get it to 60.

Potentially. I can see there being fewer fury warriors at 60 than on private servers because players on private servers know the game better, generally, and know what to expect and what the payoff will be. Lots of people not as attuned or adjusted to warrior leveling will, like you said, probably find a different class. I will say, though, don't underestimate the power of warrior pvp videos and Patchwerk dps vids to push people all the way to 60.
It is important to note, though a couple things. The item changes and item additions to the game that make warriors a lot better will not be in the game right away, like the https://classic.wowhead.com/item=22385/titanic-leggings that were like BiS for the entirety of vanilla content despite being attainable via crafting and getting the mats while leveling.
They won't be as good as people hype them up to be right now. But I still worry there will be too damn many.
I wouldn't worry about that at all. Statistically there shouldn't be any class overpopulation
Either Holy paladin or Prot Warrior. hard choice, anyone wanna make up my mind?
Depends on what experience you wanna have.
Depends on what experience you wanna have.
indeed it does.
In the last 50 votes, Druid has slumped from 3rd to 6th. That's more like it!
Didnt expect rogue on 7th place to be honest :D
