Think I'll be going dual gathering with my main. Probably skinning mining. I'll try to horde as many mats as I can then eventually make an alt with leatherworking and smithing.
I've always enjoyed Blacksmithing and I plan on actually keeping up with it this time! :P
Will probably go for the Alchemy/Herbalism combo.
If only it made sense to be an engineer & alchemist at the same time. I love the idea of being an alchemist, but it's hard to say no to the practicality of engineering since I PvP a lot.
ALL of them. That's what alts are for. I seriously plan to nolife my life away...
I still have no clue man. What would you guys suggest for hunter? I was thinking engineering cause it fits my class somewhat, but I want to make money as well. What do you guys recommend?
One thing with engineering is that you can craft https://classic.wowhead.com/item=15997/thorium-shells from a world drop schematic. You can then trade them in to https://classic.wowhead.com/npc=14182/bounty-hunter-kolark in the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar or https://classic.wowhead.com/npc=14183/artilleryman-sheldonore in the Commons of Ironforge for the arrow equivalent, https://classic.wowhead.com/item=18042/thorium-headed-arrow . Although the shells and arrows aren't the highest DPS projectiles for hunters (highest DPS bullets are https://classic.wowhead.com/item=13377/miniature-cannon-balls drop from a live Strat boss and highest DPS arrows are https://classic.wowhead.com/item=12654/doomshot drop from a ZG boss), they'll likely be your easiest to obtain and 2nd highest DPS projectiles. You can save money by making these yourself and trading them in. This was another selling point for my hunter. You can also sell the shells/arrows too, since they're not BOP like the blue items I posted.
edit: miniature cannon balls are from a live boss, not UD.
I am torn between half of 'em.
As a mage I intended to pick Herbalism and Alchemy from lvl 1 and never change.
Then I realized I would probably want the gear and cool items, so I went crazy and made a schedule lol.
Herbalism and Mining until 60.
Drop Mining for Tailoring (for gear).
When BG come out, drop Mining for Engineering.
At some point, probs high lvl dungeons and MoltenCore, drop Herbalism for Alchemy.
Befor Zulgurub, retake Herbalism for the Bloodvine.
As you can see, this is not really feasible xD

Engineering it is then, I'm sold. Making my own arrows/bullets sounds awesome. What would you recommend to level it up? Mining? Also, should I stay with mining at lvl 60? Thanks
I will probably go with what my OG toon still has to this day; Tailoring and Enchanting.
I'll just grind out the rep gates patterns and use that to make some decent gold. I'm also a glutton for punishment... because leveling Enchanting is a pain.
Tailoring and Enchanting.
Engineering for sure, along with mining. The grenades and gadgets are clutch in PvP.

I'm not really up to date, but alchemy might be the best, especially if you have rare recipes, as consumables are always in demand. In addition, Transmuting basically gives you gold for doing nothing.

actually never considered that.
hm...

Personally, I stuck with mining for the obvious reason of being able to readily supply the stuff you make. I've read a lot that skinning and vendoring off what you get will make good money and fund you much better for at least your first mount, and I believe a few engineering schematics will need one or two pieces of skinning, so I guess it's not a completely mismatched option either. I don't recall having much difficulty getting the money for my first mount with mining and engineering though, but I'll be making an alt (rogue or shaman probably) with skinning to make additional money anyways.
Something else you can make money off of engineering with is the https://classic.wowhead.com/item=4369/deadly-blunderbuss . There's a Horde quest given by https://classic.wowhead.com/npc=12724/pixel at the Splintertree Post in Ashenvale called https://www.wowhead.com/quest=6581/warsong-saw-blades that will end a quest or two later that rewards some nice blue gear for the 20s level range, so there will likely be a demand for that gun. There's another quest that requires the engineer-crafted https://classic.wowhead.com/item=4389/gyrochronatom for the Alliance/Horde quest known as https://www.wowhead.com/quest=714/gyro-what given by the Gnome https://classic.wowhead.com/npc=2921/lotwil-veriatus in the north-central-ish area of the Badlands. Doing that quest will open up the questline https://www.wowhead.com/quest=778/this-is-going-to-be-hard that eventually rewards the https://classic.wowhead.com/item=2820/nifty-stopwatch .
