To start off, I do not care how terrible this will be, Imma do it. And I bet Imma like it too.
I have very little knowledge about this or WoW in general, so don't be too harsh.
Right now I am leveling a Pally with a Holy/Prot spec and I'm really enjoying it. I've looked around a bit to find different specs and play styles and saw Holy Shock Pally.
I've read a little about Holy Shock Pally and it seems like fun, however not optimal it is. I would really love to eventually try this and PvP with this spec. I just love the idea of Holy Shock Paladins.
I just want to see opinions on the spec and if anyone has tried it out before here. Like how was it? Is it difficult to gear and is there much gear out there for it?
EDIT:
I am going to try this in PvP.
Here are two examples of this build:
1h & Shield https://classic.wowhead.com/talent-calc/paladin/55503100501051-0532400303
2h https://classic.wowhead.com/talent-calc/paladin/55503100501051--0520305122
Any advice on these builds is appreciated too!
Well if it's not a "mainstream" build then most people won't know how exactly to go up against you
Especially since you're alliance, since horde can't duel your spec to practice fighting you
Just what I think, advantage goes to the people that just do what they want to (and it's a small box if people make fun of things like "meme spec" like dude, this is a video game not 2nd grade)
A Holy/prot paladin is the spec for raid tanking paladins though...
Do you mean a non-tanking paladin who has spell damage and casts seal of righteousness and holy shock? that would be a spelladin.
Nothing really new at all here.
Maybe... I've seen it called Shockadin though. Plus, Shockadin sounds cooler than spelladin. It goes deep in Holy and gets Holy Shock to use as an offensive spell and healing spell. I'd like to try this out in PvP mainly.
Im not try to make "something new." I'm just looking for anyone that has played the spec and how it was for them.
My pally is currently deep prot, I'd have to respec to do this build.
Watch some Zalgradis paladin pvp. T1 holy/prot doing pvp with 1h and shield. While it was on a different patch, it should still work reasonably well.
