Thank you for this fantastic guide! I'll be leveling a priest for the first time when Classic comes out and I know I'll be using this as my main resource.

I see you've provided the specs for leveling. Is there any chance you'd be able to add talent trees with the suggested talents, especially for the level 45 repsec?

Regarding the DM:East AOE Lasher farming, I might have found a nice solution for alliance players. There is a quest item https://classic.wowhead.com/item=13347/crystal-of-zin-malor#provided-for from an Alliance quest that allows you to kill yourself without any durability loss which might be used for getting out of the instance. In order to keep this item you mustn't complete the quest but rather keep it in your quest log. I find it as an elegant way of killing yourself. I quess it might have some other uses like talking with a ghost NPC like the dwarf in BRM.

Sorry for my late reply! I prefer healing over smiting though ;)

@Seebus Do you have a list of spells that are must have and what spells to skip while leveling?

Again great guide!

Priorities:

Smite: Before you get talents that increase your shadow damage, Smite is worth ranking up and can be used to get the last hit on enemies to activate Spirit Tap. You can train Smite at the following levels: 6, 14, 22, 30, 38, 46, and 54.

Mind Blast: Mind Blast is the ideal spell to use when trying to activate Spirit Tap by getting a killing blow on an enemy. Once you have the deep Shadow talents that increase damage, you'll want to use Mind Blast to finish off enemy mobs. You can train Mind Blast at the following levels: 10, 16, 22, 28, 34, 40, 46, 52, and 58.

Power Word: Fortitude: Priest's signature buff, having this for yourself and potential party members is always going to be worthwhile. You can train this spell at the following levels: 12, 24, 36, 48, and 60.

Inner Fire: A self-buff that provides you with a significant armor gain. Considering that you are cloth, this can be very useful if you are anticipating taking a lot of melee damage. You can train this spell at the following levels: 12, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60.

Power Word: Shield: Another noteworthy spell while leveling, an instant absorb shield is fantastic for emergency healing situations and PVP. You can train this spell at the following levels: 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 54, 60.

Shadow Word: Pain: SWP is going to be the companion spell to your wand's Shoot, it is one of your more mana-efficient spells for leveling. You can train this spell at the following levels: 4, 10, 18, 26, 34, 42, 50, 58.
