Did you grind mobs to 60? How long did it take? I'm grinding mobs to 60 on a hunter and i find it takes about an hour a level.

No, questing is faster. You can grind, but why? Just follow a quest route and you will waste less time leveling. I typically grind more than the average person and substitute quest areas where I dont want to quest with some grinding. Grinding all of the way would suck to be honest unless you did AoE grinding as a mage.

I'd say about 50/50 AoE grinding to quests as a mage.

This was at launch though and competition was super high, if I were doing it now as a mage I'd probably avoid quests wherever possible.

Any other class I'd rather just quest and spam dungeons tbh.

Yeah that seems atrociously boring. I quested and dungeon spammed as often as I could.

Questing as a mage in lower to mid levels is just awful lol. I'd definitely agree a more grinding-weighted leveling experience is better.

I love dungeons. What do you think about a more dungeon-weighted leveling approach?

I'd say go with whatever floats your boat. Yes, sometimes dull approaches can be more effectieve than others.

But who really cares? Classic is nice way to spend your scarse spare time. Do whatever pleases you and not just because it is the best min/max or most efficient way to do it!

Min/max is definitely what pleases me! Love finding the most efficient and hardcore way to speed lvl in WoW, so i've been doing lots of research on the best ways..making posts/reading guides etc.

Dungeons are definitely efficient with respect to XP per hour, especially on a PvP server when your questing can be interrupted by ganking. This is the case even if you don't have quests specific to that dungeon.

The problem is that running a dungeon has time constraints - you have to take the time to find a group, head to the dungeon, and run through it, hopefully with a competent group which isn't always a given. I wasn't able to do that every day, and sometimes I only had an hour or so to be online - so in such cases questing was the way to go.

I see, well in my case it might make sense then! I have around 12-14 hours a day to play. I think i'll try it exclusively and see how it goes, with quests in between.

I would never trust someone who practices online without multiple doctorates, no, no, state appointed, comes to my home.

Yes I did in 2005 when leveling my priest in Eastern plaguelands.
It was stupidly slow cause i was holy priest and not being mana efficient.

This time around since i have been really slow, rested xp has been key.
Do quests and when its time to run the next dungeon, i gather all the quests for it.
I plan on grinding the high end dugeons to 60 since i will be there at 60 for attunments and gear.
Might as well do it early so when i hit 60 i will be ready for raiding!

So if you count grinding mobs in dungeons then, yes, i plan on doing it but not sure how long it will take
