Does everyone have their NR gear for AQ already?

I'm still working on obtaining enough NR to go with my guild, but I don't have much time to play really.

I've been using our Nature Resist loot tool to look for good options I can farm and I'm still trying to get some pieces from Mara.

How much are you aiming for? We're asking our soakers to get to 150 NR, which yields 210 with the hunter aura. Enough to soak without gimping DPS too much.

We're just going for 100 for non-soakers is what my guild has been asking for. I'm definitely just a backup for fill spots when I'm available though, definitely not a core raider or anything.

In theory only melee should use NR gear.
In vanilla we had him on farm and I was a priest with 0 NR gear...maybe some with T2 chest and buffs but no potions, no gear.
Same with the casters/range didnt use NR.

Should get some for farming purpose but as a range / not the closest 8 wont need much

As a Warlock you should be focusing on SR gear mostly.
Yeah talents can help and buffs can close the gap and not need too much with gear but still...SR SR SR

Interesting, got it. Could be I was misunderstanding then but pretty sure they were asking for all members to have 100 NR.
Would suck to have been farming the wrong gear!

Why would your non soakers be wearing any nature resist gear? The soakers are the ones which will be absorbing the poison volley. We're using dwarves to pop stoneform and sit in melee range, and our paladins will do the same and bubble through the poison volley. Dwarf paladins will be able to stack one in front of the other, having even longer soak duration. The more dwarf paladins we have in the raid, the less melee need to gimp themselves with NR gear.

We're not even sure we're going to need NR gear at all at this point. Huhuran has less health than onyxia and ragnaros. And the dangerous part is only from 30% health and less. Our entire raid is going to save offensive cooldowns for this fight and pop everything at 30% to burn her down quickly. We're likely going to have enough DPS in this fight to burn her down before the poison damage becomes a problem. We're only stacking nature resist gear just in case it becomes a problem, but we're not really expecting to need to use it.

I do not know these stoneform bubble wearing dwarves you speak of (horde lol), but yeah the closest 8 should only being hit with volley and if they can soak it and be kept alive no one else should be getting hit, unless there are more than 8 in melee range.

You might be right, but i do recall that those volleys hit like a truck, so when 1 person dies someone else becomes a new soaker, dominoes affect, can get out of hand quickly if it hit a person with no NR.
I do not remember if my guild used nature potions or other things like that, but i remember the first time we engaged her, she went mental and it felt like she hit all her cool downs and dropped us so fast lol
I also think she has a soft enrage at 30% because i think her melee hits are harder OR they are faster, idk i recall our tanks saying something like that when we were learning the fight during the time.

I'm pretty sure the nearest 15 players get hit by the poison volley, not just 8.

Im seeing 15 now, not sure where i saw 8...well what i said above but change 8 to 15....or maybe instead of editing my post which is wrong maybe i go to blizzard and have them change the mechanic to volley the closest 8 so i dont need to edit my post you do...lol

So just to clarify since I never got to raid in vanilla, as a hunter is there any reason for me to go out and farm NR gear or do I not need to because I’m ranged?

Depending on how your raid is set up you might be in range and be a soaker. You will definitely be using your aura but whether there will be enough soakers will be up to your raid comp. Talk to your raid leader about that so you aren't caught unprepared.

Thanks I’ll just go ahead and farm a set so I can fill in when someone doesn’t show for a raid or something.
