Soo, there aren't a ton of opportunities around the world for me to group up to quest especially in middle levels. I've tried mage and warlock and my god..they are frustrating levelers. Everyone says Mage is the super leveler but...i don't see it. Even AoE pulls are pretty frustrating and they're so squishy, it takes about 10-14 hits from a same level mob and you're done, let alone a group of them that you will inevitably aggro if you're on your own.
Mages have a lot of outs, but, limited mana pool.
What is the, hands down, easiest class to power-level solo?
I'm going to sit here for the next 7 days until i am level 60. No work, no school, nothing. What should i level, that i can level at all hours of the day and night?
the general consensus would be hunter - while the first 10 levels feel a little bit lackluster without the pet it becomes a breeze after taming your first one

Thanks for the response, yep after looking around online it appears Hunter is the consensus. Guess that's the class i'm leveling.
Any input on raiding?
Hunter -> Feral Druid -> Warlock
Hunter -> Feral Druid -> Warlock
Agreed, those 3 are very nice. I had zero issues lvling my warlock specced into drain tanking, the sustain is nice and can solo almost every elite and take on packs with fear and seduce.
Hunter -> Feral Druid -> Warlock
omg you could not be more wrong! If you have ever rolled a Selexin you would know...phhh...it goes..
Selexin -> Hunter -> Feral Druid -> Balance Druid -> Warlock -> Healing Druid -> Fishing Druid -> Cooking Druid -> First Aid Druid -> AFK Druid -> then the rest of the classes
Any input on raiding?
Yes, people forgot to warn you about this part
Hunters are generally seen as mediocre in the raiding scene, because aside from tranq shot for certain bosses, or viper sting for caster bosses (like AQ20 Moam) they're not very effective. Their main role is DPS, and when I'm looking for DPS I'd much rather stack warriors/rogues/warlocks/mages who will excel at it than another hunter
So yeah, very fun to level, amazing in open world content, great for pvp, but subpar presence in raiding unless it's to counter a mechanic
Mage is the fastest, Hunter is the easiest, Warlock almost as easy as Hunter.
Don't expect to be wanted in pugs for raiding as a Hunter. Hunters are the worst DPS class of the pure DPS classes end game. In MC gear Hunters aren't that bad but Hunters get --literally-- no BiS upgrades in AQ, while casters get insane gear. So expect to be outDPSed by Warriors and Rogues starting in MC, and expect to be outDPSed by Warlocks and Mages past BWL.
Honestly, Mages are the Vanilla WoW hero class. They're top tier at everything PvE and PvP. You might want to stick it out with your Mage, there are some seriously insane levelling methods available to you. I levelled my Mage alt from 44 to 60 only by solo AoE runs in dungeons (ZF -> DM East) and made a crapton of gold on the side. No ganking because you're in a dungeon. Nice chances for blue and epic drops, tons of materials to sell on the AH... Shit like this is just awesome to pull off really:

Wouldn't call it easier than Hunter because it takes some getting used to and Hunter is just /brain afk but on my Hunter I certainly couldn't buy my epic mount when I hit 60. On my Mage I had enough to get my epic mount and still had a couple hundred gold left over for prebis items and professions. Luxurious :D

I see, well i look forward to PvP and maybe i can get some raid spots for gear!

Thanks for the video! Mage i just found myself getting so frustrated at dying over and over while trying to level alone. How is grinding with mages? AoE grinding is kind of a pain in the ass.

Personally I levelled single target until 44 because AoE grinding in the open world is very dangerous due to random mob respawns, other people fucking with you etc. This is a nice talent build for single target levelling as Frost: https://classic.wowhead.com/talent-calc/mage/--03253203102351001 .
Rotation is simple, start Frostbolting a mob, if it gets in melee finish your Frostbolt, Frost Nova the mob, run away a bit, and Frostbolt it to death. Finish with wand if mob runs away in fear (to save mana). Never use Frost Nova higher than rank 1 (to save mana). Do not use Fire Blast unless you *really* need to (mob runs away in fear to another pack), because Fire Blast is super mana intensive.
Frostbite procs/Frost Nova + Shatter + Ice Shards = a LOT of damage. Just look at the synergy: you get +100% critical damage on your frost spells and when a mob is frozen you get +50% spell crit. You will see so many big Frostbolt crits. With Frost Armor and Frostbolt both proccing Frostbite, Frost Armor slowing a mobs attacks and Frost Nova as a backup, it's kind of hard to die 1 on 1 with a mob, melee mobs are a complete joke. With sheep 2 on 1 is not an issue either. For ranged caster mobs Counterspell and Dampen Magic help you a lot as well. And I've not even talked about Ice Block (to wait out your Frost Nova cooldown) and Cold Snap (to instantly reset your Ice Block, Ice Barrier and Frost Nova cooldowns).
And seriously, if you wanna grind single target as a Mage, spec Frost. Don't get tempted by Fire, Fire is just asking to have a hard time if you're inexperienced with the class. Frost is more mana efficient, has better on demand burst (though Frost Nova + Shatter), better survivability (through slows, Frostbite and Ice Barrier) and better crowd control.

Excellent response, thanks so much. I'm going to put this in my note addon and work on my mage after my hunter!
I agree with the hunter/warlock as the top as far as the easiest. I think shadow priests should get a mention too though (disclaimer, only in the 20s on that alt). Just keep your wands up to date (and get 5/5 on wands ASAP!) and it's great, low pressure leveling. You basically just shield before a fight then cast shadow word: pain and wand the mob to death. You pretty much never go OOM and you have nice DPS. Every 3+ mobs you have to refresh inner fire on yourself. Just cast renew on yourself after each fight to keep your health topped off.
Also, you can pretty easily take on 2-3 mobs on you at any one time. You don't really have to worry about humanoids running and calling in another add that will push you over the edge because you have such great sustain (not to mention you'll probably wand the mod to death before they pull that additional add.) Elites around your level are pretty soloable as well because of your heals and sustain.
The key to solo leveling priests is to maintain enough spirit so that you just keep going, you almost never have any downtime.
Also, it's pretty easy to find groups because you can heal just fine in dungeons as a priest no matter what spec you are. So don't forget to mix in some dungeons every now and then because that gear upgrades keeps you geared and help increase your solo xp/hour potential.

Certainly easier than that 'Nyxt' class!
