Stockades is lazy. The entire dungeon is lazy. The quests for the dungeon are lazy. The loot drops are underwhelming. I don't hate Stocks, but it is the least imaginative dungeon in the game. 3 hallways with rooms.
People above are saying Gnomer but AT LEAST gnomer took some time to create and to explore. There are several events in Gnomer, a complex key system throughout the dungeon. A back door... Multiple large rooms that each have their own theme. Unique loot that is associated with each boss. Tons of long quest lines that end up leading you through this place. An interesting cleaning system to cleanse those pieces of dirt you find. A weird NPC area within the dungeon... Dont get me wrong, in the grand scheme of things Gnomer is trash, but in comparison to some of the effort that was put into other dungeons?
In 14 years of playing I can't tell you if I have ever ran Gnomer. I do know that I hate RFD and RFK, mostly because everytime you pull a pack of those stupid pig-people it sounds like a gang of Elvises dying on the toilet.

I completely agree with this post. I find Gnomer to be extremely aggravating, but at the same time it is very unique and very interesting in it's design and lore.
Stockades just seemed like a half assed forgotten dungeon. I feel like John Staats spoke about it at some point on ClassiCast, and his view was similar. It is bland and pointless, and it could be done really awesomely.
I've always thought RFC was dull and uninspiring.

My theory:
Developer 1: Hey wouldn't it be awesome to have a quest area INSIDE the capital cities?
Developer 2: Yeah, but the high level players would just camp the mobs when they are bored.
Developer 1: I'll just instance the quest area, problem solved.
The birth of the 2 most boring dungeons.
Oh yeah easily Gnomeregan. No doubt. Even so in Vanilla when the place is even more convoluted and it's just ughhhh.
However I've always played as Horde so I did Gnomer a couple of times at best. I can imagine Alliance having a similar reaction to WC, which I really like!
i used to hate gnomer until i learnt my way around it. its actually pretty easy when you know that and commit it to your memory. although the mobs can be pretty horrible if youre melee and fighting troggs that radiate poison at you every second, or if youre a rogue cause all the machines are immune to poison and bleeds. but its hard to pass up the sweet gear that the horde quest rewards so i usually try and go there as early as possible. its def bis for so many levels afterwards.
i really dont like mara though because i dont like desolace and i dont like the caves at the entrance, once i got lost in there for about half an hour

Did someone say https://classic.wowhead.com/item=9624/triprunner-dungarees ??
WailingCaverns and WailingCaverns++ (Maraudon). They are good the first time you go in there, but there's not one fuc**** time I get lost in there.

Imagine if they made Stockades as long and adventurous as Deadmines?
Being in a jail in stormwind is a really good idea for a dungeon but it was short and wasnt imaginative in the idea.
Maybe if they started the dungeon inside the jail like it is now then go through secret tunnels where prisoners escaped to end up outside stormwind?
Would have been better...idk
I hate RFD и RFK.
Wailing Caverns. Maze like map, pats that repsawn, need to clear elites just to get into the instance, so many random scrubs pugged from /1 in the barrens
Gnomer was such an ugly place to be. The stockades were pretty short and forgettable, but I just hated being in gnomer. Even when I knew the lay of the land down there, I just wanted to be somewhere else.

Oh you guys have not seen Grul's Lair then :)
It's just one road, lol.

We did see it in TBC, and also it's a raid not a dungeon.
Have you seen Onyxia's Lair? At least the boss fight is incredibly memorable in that case.

Fair enough, it is a raid & it is not Vanilla.
