Hello Barrens Chat!
In the next few weeks we're going to be making some wide changes to the site that we wanted to share. As you may know Warcraft Tavern and Barrens Chat merged about 4 months ago in forum patch 1.13.
Since then we've continually been adding new tools and guides to the site for players, however development of the tools is often inhibited by the underlying PHPBB software used across a lot of the site. Accordingly we've been discussing and working towards moving to better forum software that includes integration with our content management system to not only make it more seamless for users but also makes it easier for us to add new tools and mitigate spam.
While we know that many of you are very attached to the current design of the site, we feel that this is in the best interest long term.

As an update, in preparation for launching the new site the forums will be going into a read only mode on Friday afternoon until the new site launches.
If you have any questions or encounter any errors please join us on the Discord server and report them in the #bug-report channel.
The forums will now be going into read only mode while we work through transitioning to the new site over the next couple of days.
We expect the new site to launch on Sunday. See you on the other side!
