I would like to have the choice to pick a server for TBC so I am voting for either option 2 or 3. Complete fresh start with lvl 58 wouldnt be too bad since you wouldnt have to level completely from scratch and there wouldnt be that big economy disruption due to people having tons of gold from Classic Vanilla.

I would not mind if they open a few servers that are meant to be fresh and allow 0 transfers for a couple of months or so. I think Blizzard did this back in the day? Or maybe I am remembering incorrectly. But would also be nice if current realms progress. I like how they put it here :

I will be surprised if they keep classic servers tbh. I get we are a bit into uncharted territory here but they have never entertained the thought to allow people to not move forward, splitting up the playerbase. You got dragged forward if you want it or not. My guess is that they will do that again but that down the road they will restart the whole process probably after wrath so it's one continuous Classic loop. With 6 years of the classic content cycle they could run with it for decades.

That might not be a bad idea either :)

Not sure what their plan for Classic is if they release TBC Classic.
But one thing I dont want is to start over in TBC...I am attached to this character in Classic and logged many hours that I dont want to recreate him.
I would want to continue where i left off and continue the journey to Outlands.

That is another option too, that sounds interesting, start the legacy over again and again without splitting the community up in different directions

Yes I would be done if they decide to only start fresh with TBC. But that would shock me because the outrage from the community would be insane.

I would bet money they are going to keep some Classic realms and have TBC progress at the same time.
Either by utilizing character transfers to TBC, or character copies, or some fashion.

I say its extremely unlikely they would force everyone to roll new character. Its more likely that realms will progress and hopefully (maybe) they open a few fresh tbc realms as well for ppl to roll new on as well.

Fresh start would be the funnest and fairest... People don't like fun though and they certainly don't like fair.

This is the second go round for the wow experience. Is it that unfair for people who got a late start this time? People who put literal /played days into their characters should be able to benefit going forward into TBC.

Thats why i think it would be nice with both current realms progressing and also having a few new fresh (and none transferable to) realms :)
