I'm looking for some feedback from people who played Arenas in TBC through the seasons up until WoTLK release. I only partook in Season 1 and hit Gladiator in my 2s and 3s with a Warrior/Pally and Warrior/Pally/Resto Shaman combo, and at that point I was already more or less on the way to WoW retirement.
This time around I'm thinking of doing something different. I'm trying to gauge what other class combinations were solid throughout the seasons. At the moment I'm leaning towards leveling a Druid since I prefer playing healers, and my understanding is that Druid also received a significant PvP boost in TBC.
Thoughts?

Druid was king of the arena!
Nothing was more hated then how easy it was for a druid to do anything they wanted.
LoS, Cyclone, over powered healing...
Though this was during TBC, not sure what the stat of Druids was in Arena at v2.4.3...assuming they werent nerfed to the ground, they will be the best and most common in arena

In 2's resto druids were arguably the most dominant spec in TBC for arenas. Druids were underwhelming in 3's. Warriors were strong in 2's and 3's, especially while running arms with a 2handed mace build using stormherald. SL locks were very strong and typically, lock/druid was viewed as the only legitimate counter in 2's to the most dominant comp, which was warrior/druid. There was a bit more variety in 3's but in general for 2's, youre looking at warrior, warlock or resto. There are a few other notable 2's comps, but if youre just pushing rank, youll want to make a druid your friend.

Oh shit, I remember spending so long farming mats to make https://www.wowhead.com/item=28440/thunder back in like 2007. I didn't raid, was mostly a solo player and didn't know any gold farms and was flat broke. I was never able to upgrade that mace beyond Thunder, but it was my crowning achievement of the expansion. I'm going to get that mace on Pippina this time. I'm gonna craft Stormherald.

I dont remember if it was 3's or 5's, but I remember playing against a team with 1 SL/SL Warlock and the rest were Paladins.
It wasnt fast but we eventually were drained to death lol paladins (holy) healing and dispelling the warlock was hell. With his infinite mana and spread damage we had so many issues lol. We werent good at pvp but this was a crazy, maybe it isnt a good make up, but we sure had problems with it.

And their counters tbh. Rogues, Priests and Mages do very well in 2v2 because their comps (especially Rogue/Spriest) really counter Warrior/Druid and Warlock/Druid. As a Warlock player (Warlock/Druid was my team) I still have nightmares of facing double Undead Rogue/Spriest, never being able to save my Druid if they performed their CC and burst correctly :(
