I want to roll Warrior and I love solo Wpvp. If I were to make a gnome wouldn't that eliminate one of the biggest problems warriors have in pvp? I am really curious because Warrior seems like alot of fun but from what I've heard they just get slapped.

I don't think there is a worse class for world PvP than a warrior.

No. It doesn't eliminate your lack of mobility and extreme susceptibility to be controlled, snared and CC'd, but it helps. FAP's also help. Engineering also helps. Certain items can help. But all of these tools of utility are available to everyone else as well. You can find videos of extremely geared warriors who are very competent while using proper consumes take 1 vs 3 or even more and quite literally watch as they global people... I have played a warrior at this level of gear on private and the difficulty is laughable!

But this wont represent the average warriors play experience. The average warrior will struggle in wPvP. The average warrior will never reach the gear threshold where they outgear the majority of their opponents. Go outside a major city and watch as warriors duel. The reality is that most warriors at 60, with raid gear will struggle with a level 55-58 frost mage who is competent. What are the odds that you are more capable than them? You probably arent and youre probably going to have a bad time.

I believe gnome is BiS for alliance warrior in PvP. I have a gnome warrior at 60 who is raid geared. I also would never suggest that anyone should play a warrior in wPvP or in BG's without a pocket healer, it just isnt worth it. Make a class that is dominant for wPvP if you want to spend most of your time in wPvP OR ensure that a close friend is making something that synergizes well with a warrior for wPvP.

tldr; warriors can crush in wpvp. "can", most wont. if you want to wpvp, make something that is inherently good at wpvp.

inb4 someone tells you how insane warriors are. There are outliers that can pull it off. Most people wont be willing to dedicate the time and effort to collect the gear and consumes to consistently reach a competitive level of play in PvP. You will work twice as hard as everyone else so that you can be mediocre. And when you fight someone who is playing a superior spec who is equally competent and prepared, you will typically get beaten.

Now if you have a pocket healer...? Youre a fucking world beater.

Pick one: either roll warrior, or do solo world pvp (with a nightelves shadowpriest for example since you are already alliance).

Warrior's ARE alot of fun but while your skill ceiling isn't that high, your gear ceiling is only the sky if you get me

Then I have a follow up question, would Ret pally be a Spec that I could play for solo wpvp? I have been deciding between Ret Pally, Shadow Priest, druid and Warrior but if warrior is not a good option then I should consider these 3.

Would being a Ret pally, Shadow Priest or Druid be better choices for Wpvp? These are the 3 other specs I have considered.

Sure. Hell yes. Yes.

As Stfuppercut mentioned, I can't really think of anything worse than a Warrior for solo World PvP.

I personally wouldn't go with Pally though if that's what you're after. Pally, like Warrior, is top tier for group content but mediocre when solo. You won't be as easily controlled as a Warrior thanks to BoF and bubble, but you will still struggle to close the gap on opponents consistently, especially against Orcs who can resist your HoJ stun. Grenades help but your opponents have access to them as well.

Shadow Priest is god tier for wpvp. I would say that only SL locks (and perhaps Ele shamans?) are better.
Don't underestimate Druids either. You have to many ways to escape that at the very least you won't be dieing a lot.

Ret paladins or reck paladins suck: they are just like warriors but trade bad heals and some utilities against mortal strike and hamstring: not worth it in vanilla.

Druids are fun in wpvp, but in a different way than you expect: a hybrid druid can kill anyone, but might need to employ hit and run tactics to kill some matchups. Also, they are neither easy to play or learn nor easy to gear nor have a big margin for errors.

Shadow priests are what you expect to be of a top wpvp class: slows, stuns, scary damage and a fear to get the target into mobs and more trouble. Also bonus points for trolls with shadowguard or nightelves with mind control out of stealth.

PvP exist although in "honor" does not come until phase 2, you got plenty of time to farm BiS.

Warrior is THE best PvP class in BG's if utilized correct with healers. cartoonhd

Most people chose class after what you want to play in terms of playstyle, not after whats more efficient in time spent.
