This post has made me realize how much I've missed playing with sounds on mute. (For the most part - combat sounds on.)
99.999% of the time I have music playing.
There is only one (and this is coming from a staunch Hordist):

All the tavern music is amazing. I could chill to this drunk af.
Definitely Ashenvale

This one has me at "Hello":
I'm an Horde main, I hate Night Elves with all my heart, but the best ambient music is surely the Teldrassil one
For straight up nostalgia I mainly remember the Durotar/Barrens music. After that I mostly listened to my own music outside of the game.
I didn't play an Undead much during actual Vanilla, but having played one a bit on a pserver I really dug the Brill Inn music. It's a weird song, and it's cool that they kept it unique to exactly one building.
For me I would say Teldrassil/Ashenvale or Winterspring.
Winterspring for sure. It feels cold, you get the crunch of the snow under your boots, the ambience is quiet and reserved. They captured the deafening silence of a snowed-over landscape perfectly.
I'm listening wow soundtrack on spotify on my way home for a few weeks :D, and i must say one of my best are shimmering flats and elven music, but i love whole soundtrack from classic to wotlk
Elwynn Forest, The Barrens, SW & Org, Stranglethorn Vale and I’m also really fond of the kind of positive feel about the soundtrack in the goblin cities like Ratchet, down in Tanaris and Booty Bay
Love the music from Stonetalon Mountains. Not sure if it's unique to the area but its' great.

Mulgore + Barrens
omg these memories *_*
Duskwood
There are soooooo many in Vanilla that I can't seem to narrow it down. I will say my hands down favorite score outside of Vanilla was Grizzly Hills in WotLK... Gives me the good feels every time.
