Hi all,

I have spent a bit of time, putting together a easy-to-use framework, to off-set the administrative tasks associated with running a Loot Council based guild. While by no means a innovative project, it is however a rock-solid basis, that new and experienced guild leaders can use to maintain most of the day-to-day administrative tasks, while keeping things easy and approachable, when considering topics such as transparency, oversight and cooperation internally in the guild.

The spreadsheet is based around a number of core elements; a Roster, a data sheet, an optional guild info sheet, the loot distribution module and its associated loot modules for each raids. It is not a final product, and a number of module requests are already being evaluated and planned.

It should also be noted that this is a cross-post from Reddit, but hopefully nobody will take offence from that - Link to original post here

ROSTER SHEET

Overview of the roster

The Roster is intended to be filled out by regular members in the following segments "Basic-, Class-, Crafting-, PVP-, Attunement- and Misc Info". The information can be sorted in whatever ways wanted, but by class gives the best overview. As soon as a member selects a class, the Roster will automatically assign them a corresponding colour, officers will however need to manually sort the sheet with regular intervals to keep things tidy.

A last segment of the Roster is the Officer Info, this is reserved for displaying special functions within the guild or to relay short information bits. The segment also has a tick box for gear checks, to provide an easy overview for Loot Councils if a player has adequately prepared for raiding, but pre-raid gearing. How this is approached in effect, is up to the individual guilds.

By default, the sheet supports 100 members, but can be scaled up - if required. The sheet comes in both Alliance and Horde versions.

DATA SHEET

Example Datasheet output

Siphoning information from the Roster, the Data sheet provides easy oversight of the guild composition, this is mainly a neat feature, but is also useful for guilds setting specific roster targets, for recruitment purposes. Socials are sadly counted in this overview, so they will interfere with target values, if listed.

Set Targets can be adjusted to suit your specific recruitment needs.

GUILD INFO

Example version of a fully formed guild info sheet

The Guild Info sheet is a manually filled out sheet, typically locked to the GM, who can provide the guild with a strategic overview of the management core, and their responsibilities. The page can be adjusted to suit whatever heirachy is in effect for respective guilds, and is essentially a (highly recommended to use) playground that you can adjust as you see fit.

MASTER CRAFTERS

Unpopulated Master Crafter list

To easier facilitate member crafting needs, with member crafting capacities, the sheet also includes a Master Crafter list, these are your typical (tho by no means comprehensive) lists of desired items and services, that might be required in endgame settings.

The drop down lists on the sheet, are automatically populated based on roster list, and will be displayed in the order of your choosing (e.g. how you have your Roster sorted)

LOOT DISTRIBUTION

Unpopulated version of the Loot Distribution overview

The Loot Distribution sheet is a locked sheet, that automatically imports guild members from the Roster Sheet, and performs automatic and instantaneous counts these usernames, in the following Raid Specific Sheets. The entire process serves to provide transparency to members, and to assist the Loot Council in handing out loot more fairly.

RAID SPECIFIC SHEETS

Unpopulated Molten Core sheet as an example, all raids shares the aesthetics and approach

Raid Specific sheets can be found for all available raids and world bosses, and all feed the Loot Distribution sheet to grant an overview of allocations.

For each raid, all viable drops, from all bosses and trash, is listed in the overview. generic blues, crafting recipes and similar are not supported as they tend to be handed out in a slightly different context than raid quality epics.

Data entry is suggested as locked to Officers and Privileged Users, and works by selecting a raid date by double-clicking in the date selector cells, and picking the raid date. As items drops through the course of the raid, the Loot Council can assign names to the items, as they are distributed, using an automatically populated list of members, much akin to the one under Master Crafters. Each time a name appears in these cells, will be credited to the Loot Distribution sheet.

Should multiple items drop, then the sheet supports multi-entries per cell, as long as they are spaced with a ", " (comma+space). Some items, such as MC trash drops might be entirely disregarded, such approaches are guild specific.

PUBLIC TEST VERSION

For those of you wishing to check things out further, then I have a public test version (set on view mode) that you can browse through. This also includes access to the Guide tab, that is not covered in this post.

Mk. Ultra - Public Test Version

PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST ACCESS TO THE PUBLIC TEST VERSION

THIS IS NOT THE VERSION THAT YOU WANNA USE (YOU JUST THINK YOU DO!)

USAGE

If the Mk. Ultra Roster is something that you wish to use for your guild, then I am naturally happy to assist you in that; it is naturally absolutely free, and you wont need to join any streams, servers, or patreons.

While it is possible that I host the sheet for you and your guild, most guilds has wished to maintain a decentralised copy, and instead opting in for guided updates via mail, in practice, all you need to do, is to have a senior officer contact me (preferably a GM through a PM) and supply me with some basic (qualifying) information. see below.
Guild Name:

Faction:

Major (Professional) Streamers in guild? Y/N

Professional (Paid/Sponsored) guild? Y/N

Can I publicly list you as sheet users? Y/N

Would you like me to inform you of future updates Y/N

Contact Email (Google Docs/Drive connected):

It should be noted, that this is a non-profit service, intended for non-profit guilds and organisations, with no commercial interests. Furthermore, usage is personal and guild tied, and it is requested that you or your guilds do not share it with third parties.

FAQ

  • Why is it called Mk. Ultra?

  • MK. Ultra (MKUltra) was a CIA mind control program running in the 1950/60/70s, I wont spoil the story, but recommend you putting on one of the many documentaries on the subject, while you level your characters. The tie in here is less nefarious than the original CIA covert project, as the goal here is not mind control, but rather to provide strong and professional looking infrastructure to guilds, so that it rubs off on members; look pro, think pro, feel pro.

  • Response Rate

  • After churning through a few hundred messages back and forth, it seems the worst hurdle has passed; I am CEST based (Denmark) so I can normally be reached during normal EU hours - and I am definetly doing my best to get back to you ASAP.

  • How-To X/Y/Z?

  • Recurring issues will get short how-to guides, if its a more elaborate issue, then just get a hold of me, and i will do my best to get you sorted!

    HOW-TO: Edit Ranks

    HOW-TO: Recover all Class Icons

  • Contact Info

  • A Barrens.chat PM is perfectly fine, alternatives are opening a chat with me through reddit, or as an alternative you can reach me on Xcellers#1681 via discord

  • Can I share this sheet with others?

  • In short; No. - you are most welcome to direct them here and they can get a copy through me, the same way that you got it - but requests are personal and intended for you and your guild.

I have spent a bit of time

I think we have a different definition of "a bit of time" lol

But in all seriousness, this is an amazing run-down of everything a GM and their officers would need. Great job!

For those on the fence, the Mk. Ultra sheet has now been updated and now features a member cap of 500 (instead of just 100) and its naturally still free and available (to non-profit based guilds and organisations).

Much appreciated man, and I should really say the same! I hope more guilds tune to ClassicRaids as a recruitment platform, it is just so much more convenient than drowning Discords or forums!

Amazing work! I really like the PvP rank feature since I'm running a WPvP guild that's going to use LC and will factor in involvement in PvP during the LC.

Amazing job, sending a request for a copy for my guild

    Comments:
    - Sages & Brute force does not stack with buffs and more powerfull elixirs/buffs, so they are irrelevant
    - Missing: Greater Firepower & Gift of Arthas
    - Missing: Thorium Shield Spike (just rename Mithril, noone uses it), Steel Weapon Chain, Mithril Spurs, Dark Iron Helm, Legs, Gloves, Bracers, Boots (NR gear comes too late, and frost gear is only important for tanks, so maybe not needed)
    - Missing: Tender Wolf Steak, very popular for early raiding
    - There are enchants that noone is using, but it is comprehensive
    - Engineering: All reflectors are important and Arcanite Dragonling, also guild would list who can make sappers
    - LW: It is very important who is making frost gear, as LW makes both leather and mail, and those are best for all physical damage dealers including warriors. I would split devilsaur into two, they are separate recipes.
    - Tailoring: Needs Bloodvine set, NR cloak (Gaea's), and frost gear
    - Loot: I would list all, not only "Tier1 wrist" as this way will go 40+ columns wide, same goes for rest of the stuff (if you want this I have it already written down in the spreadsheet, can export it for you to save you time)

    ....

Great feedback Mookey, the crafts section was a bit - quick n dirty - as its easy to expand upon, but I will make an adjustment to the core sheets, and send out an update (hopefully today.

Regarding wrists (especially) then my initial tests of multi-adding names was a bit misguided, as I had only tested manual entries of multiple names (which works) but not the drop-down menu solution that is currently in place (where multi-names does not work) so this might be quite useful. It should mainly be a problem for trash loot as bosses have assigned tier loot slots, depending on their drop-cap of these items (trash on the other hand.. )

Again, really great and highly useful feedback! much appreciated!
