9 days from classic, I'm actually getting concerned about how seriously are some people taking the game.

Y'know, some of us just wanna have some fun playing a comfy, cool class/spec. Rolling the most meta, top tier class its a viable way to play the game, but, why so much hate to those who just want to play?

Anyway, I'm Zolid and I'm an Orc, Enh Shaman, I enjoy dungeons, raiding and that pve kinda stuff.

This is a comfy thread about your plans in classic, having a non-optimal spec (what some prepotents call ''memespecs''), and enjoying your adventure after all.

Spec in the early game isn't all that important anyway since you have so few talent points. If it's VC or something else low level, just lie about your spec.

I figure while you're leveling, anything goes. On enhancement I might take anticipation and toughness for example. Maybe even shield spec if it isn't terrible.

Good point. I was recently reading that in vanilla, when you inspect someone, you can't see their talents. In other words, no one but you knows your talent choices. I really can't remember...is this true?

This is correct! You could not see other people's talents in Vanilla and this is still true for Classic.

I appreciate the mindset you have OP, even though I'm playing an "optimal" spec, I have no issues with grouping and raiding with those that want to play a wide variety of specs!

this is my druid wpvp healing/dmg build ;p

but i keep going back and forth on the last 5 talent points between Improved StarFire and Improved Regrowth.
the stun proc is amazing, but 50%+ crit regrowth coupled with Nature's Grace and 5/5 Improved Wrath is also quite good.

I agree with you for sure. But to them it's just another way to play. To those people, the most viable / most meta way to play is their enjoyable way. I see this stuff in old school runescape all the time, where if any of your items aren't the absolute best in slot then you're a noob. But the issue with that mindset is sometimes they almost like become confused of why someone like you and I wouldn't want to play the most viable way which sort of turns into frustration for some reason (hence the hate). It seems like their intensity of play translates into intensity of conversation, leading to those jaded comments trashing casuals. Some people are just less polite when it comes to seeing other people's viewpoints on how they'd best prefer to play a game. I guess it's fortunate most people are pretty relaxed.

In general, the real way of dealing with this is just to get into a big social guild full of people you like and play the game with people who aren't going to sit around and nitpick the way you play.

You guys should really stick it to the man and make a full guild of meme specs! Then complete all the raids as 100% meme to show those darn min/maxers how silly they are!

Great thread man. I'll be doing a slow solo crawl through the world that sticks in my memories and enjoying it once again. Footloose and fancy free. Never did the guild thing don't intend to this time either.

Ha, I've thought about it, but tbh I'm just more comfortable with a guild of people who enjoy the people rather than just not allowing cool people playing mainstream specs. If the funny dude in Discord plays moonkin, cool. If he plays Combat Swords Rogue, fine.

The world isn't ready for an all-paladin raid.

All prot paladins tanking everything and self-healing. If half the tanks die, you still have 20 tanks left! That's like 15 more than a normal raid. Think of the numbers man.

Hay! I would strongly suggest removing 3/3 Improved Thorn for 3/3 Natural Shapeshifter. This is very important for PvP
of any kind, both WPvP and Bgs/duels
