Still playing, still enjoying it.

I rushed the first month or so, tried to do everything as quickly as possible, but I think everybody did!

Now I've stopped raiding in the main group and accepted that I'm happy just to log on a couple days a week to level alts, farm gold and help the guild out with their second raid team.

I think if I continued to play as I did in the first month I'd be totally sick of the game now.

I hit 60 but pretty quickly stopped playing back in January for a lot of reasons; my guild fell apart, I didn’t have the time to dedicate to the game that I really wanted to, meaning I couldn’t do the endgame content I wanted to, and was just generally too busy to put in the effort to meet my goals. I started playing again a few weeks ago but rolled on a new server because I wanted to play horde. I still don’t have the time to play really, but leveling can be done just fine in short bursts. My biggest worry is that the population on Deviate Delight seems dangerously low atm, which is going to make getting groups for dungeons difficult, so to help counter that I rolled a Druid so I can do whatever needs to be done. I’m having fun with the game again though. I will definitely be playing tbc since it adds my favorite part of the game, arena, but I’m hoping real life allows me the time to actually do some raiding in classic before that happens.

Hey, I've been seeing more & more incentive to try out DD and was going to go Horde as well. I will be one more lowbie joining in. I'd say within the next week at the longest i will (which means now i'll prolly get the itch tonite haha) just because i think i rolled too many alts & would like to get the children's week Quests done. Hopefully I'll see ya around.

I too, took a break for a few mos because of rl stuff and unfortunately, the server i was trying to main hasn't really been somewhere that's jived with me. i really don't like the community on that server & have been playing alts to get a feel for where i will truly enjoy. i brought a Guild i started in WotLK, that's been begging me to come back since i quit after Cata. Well, they all decided they are now conditioned to like retail (despite starting in Vanilla/BC) So, disenfanchised, i've been trying to find a place i jive with. Grobbulus hit that mark HARD for me, but then the Realm got flooded with transfers and it hasn't been the same since; so again been leveling alts til that hopefully resolves. Been enjoying trying different servers and classes, mainly.

I was playing daily from launch until the Hong Kong debacle occurred. I swore off Blizzard products until they made that PR apology to save face. I reluctantly came back and found out that everyone else was now three months ahead of me and my motivation to play diminished.

I now play here and there. I still haven't hit 60, but my motivation has slowly returned and now I have 5 characters over level 20, with one at 48. Altoholism has destroyed my life. I think some people burned themselves out by pushing the game hardcore, but I always felt that the Barrens Chat website decoration reminded me of my old time playing WoW in 2006. It reminds me of the time when we used to play the game for fun instead of min-max, hyper-obsessed speed running raids became a thing. I don't judge anyone who chose that route, but taking your time to play this game is a sure way to not become burnt out. Sometimes, I log on and I just relax in Darnassus fishing for a while. I enjoy myself more than ever now.

I have been raiding MC/ONY, BWL and ZG on a weekly basis, been very lucky with drops and winning those drops in ZG.
Got *Cloak of Consumption*, *Touch of Chaos*, *Bloodcaller*, and epic caster ring in the first 2 weeks of ZG being out.
Finished making all my bloodvine set but since I equipping all the bloodvine gear will break 3 piece T2, i think i am going to wait on equipping the boots till i get another piece of T2. Now all i need from ZG are enchants, rep and Bag of Whammies off hand.

Been soloing DM:E for gold since i am still a miner.
Two days ago 4 runs and 4 arcane crystals, quick 250g.

Now I want to start getting rep in cenarian circle to prepare for AQ's release, would like to get revered before it releases but i have my doubts.
I dont play alot, only at night and with ZG out now and 3 day cool down, it seems like every night is a raid night lol.
Have trouble farming gold and rep on a weekly basis.

What about AQ War Effort, you guys prepping for that - or anyone on your server for that matter?

My raid team isn't prepping for the AQ war effort yet. So far the focus has been on getting consumes and gear ready for the raid itself. With a couple million items needing to be turned in, I'm not sure how much any guild can expect to stockpile in advance. How are you guys planning to handle this? Are you going to try and create hundreds of bank alts to start storing this stuff, or are you going to do it live and start begin farming and turning items on once the war effort goes live?

Around the time the game launched I was very focused on starting a career. I gave myself 2 weeks to enjoy the launch, and leveled to 52 during that time. After that I let my sub expire and went back to focusing on career goals. Secured my dream job a few weeks ago, so decided to renew my sub and finish what I started. 6 more levels to go.

Hey folks!

I'm still playing. I'm currently raid logging on my hunter which is 4 items away from being Best in Slot. Outside of the 1 raid a week on my hunter, I'm ranking on my Druid and having fun being a FC. Considering rerolling to Druid for AQ because there is very little items to gather as a hunter and I'm currently having a lot more fun on the Druid. Looking forward to finally experience clearing AQ and Naxx. And most of all im looking forward to TBC.

I only get to play a couple hours a week so it's going slow but it's been a complete blast so far!
Looking forward to getting 60 (one of these years) and really looking forward to a possible TBC Classic.

Update because why not; so I joined a random guild and the guild was really hurting for locks. So obviously I decided to level my lock alt and I am definitely having a good time. To be honest though I’m really looking forward to TBC now, and I’m almost prepping more for that than I am playing classic at this point. I really want to raid, but I’m also dead set on having all the classes I want to play for TBC leveled to 60 so I don’t have to waste time during TBC leveling 1-60. I want a Druid, lock, and rogue. WTB more time in the day to waste playing WoW Classic...

I wouldn't get too invested in levelling all the alts you want to bring to TBC. Not only has TBC not even formally been announced yet, we still have no idea if we get to bring characters with us from classic servers. It's a definite possibility, but nobody knows what the migration plan will be - if there even is any.

I definitely see your point but those are also all classes I would like to play in classic so I’m not terribly worried about it. Telling myself I’m prepping for TBC is just my way of convincing myself that I’m not wasting my time leveling them, and by the same token if we can migrate them to TBC, I definitely doing want to waste all that time leveling them when I could actually have for different toons to play at max level.

I really don't want to transfer my classic characters to TBC, but I am planning to play them as my TBC characters. I'm not planning to start new ones in TBC. This puts me in a weird situation where I might have to start new copies of my current characters in classic at some point  cuz if the formal plan is to transfer new characters instead of copying them to TBC realms, then I'm absolutely going to start clones of them in classic as whatever the TBC launch date comes so I'd be able to move them over instead and leave their originals back on classic. I've already started a level 1 druid named Beardozerr to reserve the name in case I can't straight copy Beardozer over.

Lol I really hope they don’t make us do that. I don’t see why they wouldn’t just let us copy them, is there some downside I’m not understanding?

I'm sure there is an argument against it, I'm trying to play devils advocate in my head to think of some but I'm not coming up with much.

Blizzard put out that TBC questionnaire a couple of months ago asking people how they would want to handle a hypothetical TBC launch.

None of the options involved copying your character to a TBC server. So as of that question from a couple of months ago, it wasn't on the table. But then again, it hasn't even been announced yet so we'll see. But most people I've talked to see to like the idea of copying your character either forward to a new TBC server, or backwards from the existing classic-turned-TBC server onto a new Classic server. I want to copy, not transfer.

I've leveled 3 characters to lvl 60 and made 5k gold in case it's a possibility to get artisan flying right away in TBC when hitting lvl 70.

Aside of that, nothing really moves me. PvE content is so underwhelming it's crazy, never cared much for PvP, and that's pretty much it. Been thinking about a 4th character but doing the whole thing yet again...nah. Maybe later sometime. My acc is inactive for roughly a month now. Every now and then I have a slight urge to go back but think about all the fuss that comes with it and decide not to.

Possibly I'll just only go back for TBC. Maybe if I get the feeling for leveling up a new toon again then I will, but not really getting the vibe for massive play again.
