Oh God we are in single digits now!

Question to you all?
I guess for the casuals....

Do you fear you will be hooked again like you were in vanilla and play more than you wanted to and affect other parts of your life?
I do lol WoW is such an amazing place to play and it might reel me in too hard!

I always had "computer-time" when I was a teenager, maximum 2 hours each day.
And I'm still holding up to it, it's just a game afterwards, so I'm not worried about forgetting the real life :P

I am going to let myself be consumed for about 2 weeks then I might have to wake up from the dream at that point.

I frontloaded everything that I knew I had to take care of over the next several months. Trees are trimmed, yardwork projects taken care of, car that was sitting in my garage in pieces has been re-assembled and is back on the road, garage gym is put back together again. House has been deep cleaned. My body is ready. I can sink as much time as I want into this for the rest of the year without it being a problem

And my company has a two week shutdown over christmas break every year, so I pretty much got the next 4 months to sink as much time as I want around work and then at the end of the year can go full no-life for two weeks straight at the end of December.

It's gonna be comfy.

I am pretty sure it will affect parts of my life, but I am not worried about it. I already decided to diminish the emphasis on certain aspects of my life in order to profit from Classic WoW as much as possible (without leading the said aspects to total destruction, of course). Still can't believe we are so close to release.

I was watching Swifty's stream with my wife on Sunday night, and I mentioned the Rank14 PvP grind to her and how insane it is, funnily enough 5 minutes later Swifty spoke about planning to do it and what was involved. She was flabbergasted, to say the least. Then she realised fully how much of a filthy casual I am compared to all the poopsocking neckbeard turbonerds out there hahaha. I am planning 1 day off for launch, then a few hours each night after my daughter is asleep. I know it will consume my thoughts, my work hours, and my sleep, but I wont let it jeopardise my relationship with my wife and daughter.

My wife is pretty understanding, especially for a non-gamer. She is taking my daughter out all of Saturday the 31st so I can play all day. Fathers day is Sunday 1st of September here in Australia, so I will likely be all over the place visiting father/in-laws etc.

RL > WoW
Imagine not having a healthy work/real life/gaming balance at 2019!
Nah who am I kidding, I'm half jelous of the turbonerds out there who can do 10hr+ a day
But then again being consumed by WoW once was more or less enough, not sure even If I could play 10h/day that I would.
