Do tell which weather system they're using (if you run into any, that is.)
I found this today https://clips.twitch.tv/AmorphousDeliciousWalletCoolStoryBob
Now that's some weather!!
In adition to the weather system i’m interested in seeing how nights compare to retail, as I’ve seen it mentioned often over the years that nights used to be darker way back then?
I'm not sure how much you've played or what class, but when I was watching some livestream the mana regen looked reallyy fast and the streamer mentioned it a few times. He was playing an undead priest and he probably only drank like 2 or 3 times from 1 - 10 even though he constantly used it all. It also looked easier to kill mobs than I've experienced in private servers, but then again some others especially rogues seemed to be cutting it pretty close at lower levels. I've never played priest in a vanilla setting so idk how easy or hard it is to fight with them, but that mana regen looked too fast.
How much reputation are you getting per quest if you don't mind me asking?
If you could give me a sample of about 4-5 quests that'd be swell.
Yes, me too! I'd like to have a comparison for private. If we could get the xp/rep rewards from the first batch of quests that would be great. Maybe a batch of 5 or so at each 10 level increment just to see how it compares to values on private.

There you go
SO PUMPED FOR YOU!!!! Tell us everything!!! I've heard some rumblings that the starting zones are actually showing A LOT more mob spawns than what was available on private... Are you seeing more mob density in early zones? If so this could result in much easier leveling on launch day!
This is kind of difficult to gauge, especially in comparison to pservers. Light's hope for example every starting zone was PACKED with players, and dynamic respawning was also in operation, so I really don't have a baseline to work off.
I saw about a dozen different people in my run through Valley of Trials today. There were enough mobs everywhere and going through the gave to the burning blade medallion guy was fine - nothing spawning behind me as I moved through it.
Check to see if the auto shot is the same as vanilla, if so gunna be painful to get use to the attack speeds
also if the mana regen is supposedly still bad at early levels ?
Hey Dragonoon, it seems pretty similar to what I've experienced on LH. I get about 3 auto shots in from max range before a melee unit reaches me and I have to start swinging. This is without kiting in any form.
Is there a keybind for Interact with Target?
Yes:

Ey grats teebling ! Enjoy.
I'm hearing that it's about 30% slower to level in classic compared to private servers. Would you mind sharing your finds regarding this?
Feels about the same to be honest.
Good to see someone getting a invite that actually deserves it!
As for things to check out, like Kalo said, check if the weather system is there and also, is the combat text vanilla like? When you crit, do the damage number appear bigger?
Yeah if you crit, the text is slightly larger. Not massively though.
Hey Teebs, grats on beta! One thing I would like you to take a look at is whether LookingForGroup is a global channel, global but restricted to main cities, or local to main cities.
Cheers!
Not sure what you mean... Durotar Localdefense was all I was seeing:

That's all I can do tonight, no time left! Don't worry if I haven't answered a question of yours yet - got them all written down on a list so I'll try to get to them eventually when the circumstances allow.
Definitely a bug with the cursor icons which are washed out - looks like a 50% brightness filter with no contrast. Comes and goes. Font smoothing is pretty bad without anti-aliasing on for the entire rest of the game too. Reported both.
Also everything loads so quick when you log in - no idea why this is. Reduced amount of assets to be loaded for the UI? I'm on about 120ms ping because I imagine the servers are located in the US and I'm in the UK.
I leveled a priest in TBC, probably doesn’t compare 100% but from what I remember, having to drink to regain mana only started coming up starting from 10-20. Post 20 I dimly recall starting to not even be able to finish single mobs with a full mana bar, making up for the difference by blasting away with wands.

I understand you are scared these are not "vanilla" values but blizzard actually has a 1.12 REAL server running which they check for things. Your streamer is false and you are getting scared for nothing. As a poster said above mana regen at start levels in 1.12 is high. And it is arguably similar to 1.12 private servers even, your streamer is spreading false info.

Thanks for checking! What I am referencing is this (from: https://wow.gamepedia.com/Dungeon_Finder ):
At the launch of the game, there was only the LookingForGroup chat channel. This channel was available in all zones, but it was not a linked global channel. This was problematic since zones of the same level range are spread out throughout the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. At this time, many players relied on their guild, friends list, or even whisper to find groups. Otherwise, they would travel to Orgrimmar or Ironforge respectively, find a group, then travel back out to the site of the dungeon, making dungeons far away from these cities very unpopular. As a result, warlocks were also very popular at this time, as they played an important role in forming groups. Blizzard eventually added a queuing system related to the Meeting Stones in front of the instances, but it was rarely used, and was generally a failed feature. In Patch 1.9, the LookingForGroup channel became global, although it was restricted to the major cities. In Patch 1.11, the LookingForGroup channel became truly global, no longer restricted to chat in cities only.

Well nobody is "spreading false info" or even claiming the mana regen is wrong. It's been a long time since anyone played pure vanilla. I'm just saying some people thought it seemed fasted than they remembered. But that's just it, it's all based on memory. I personally thought it was slower than that when I leveled a mage in BC, but private servers and time could've easily swayed my memory.
Congrats on getting into the beta!
While you are at checking things out: I heard there will be a option to disable improved graphic. Can you show, in some comparsion screens maybe, the graphic enhancements they made?

I've already figured it out there is no enhanced graphic in beta. The only thing i've noticed is that shadows are much better and terrain is more detailed.
Small thing but can you check if you can right-click the unit frames and move them like you can in retail?
Oh! Gray Quest Reputation gains!
Wonder if we’re gonna be able to farm low level quests for rep. :)
Do quest addons work?
Ty

Yes you can.
Congrats :D I'm following this thread for updates!
