No. You haven't learned anything at all. And no, I have never been catfished. I always talked with girls that I later met, and they did like the attention. I'm quite fortunate in that my spouse is an avid gamer herself. She actually used to play WoW a lot back in the day, as far back as The Burning Crusade. We played quite a bit of retail together over the years, but lately the live game has really lost its luster for me. She does not quite share my concern for retail WoW and is perfectly happy to just level alts and do some dungeon runs and rep grinding here and there, but she has expressed an interest in leveling a character in WoW Classic alongside me.
My guess is she will be playing as a warlock or a priest, and I think I will try to compliment whatever role she wants to fill with a shaman. Probably ele/resto so that I can be her support class, although if she decides to be a healer I could go full enhancement for the hell of it. Whatever we end up going with, it probably won't be fast or optimal but it will be fun. I'm happy I can get to enjoy WoW Classic with her. My stepbrother might even tag along occasionally, and dear Lord I hope he rolls a tank. We'd have instant dungeon parties all the time!
