Hello all. I'm sure you are as excited as I am for the release of Classic. The coutdown is reaching a close, but some (including myself) are still figuring out last minute details before entering the world for the first time again. This thread is for the general discussion of the Mage class between rookies and veterans alike.

Personally, I am rolling as a Human. I'll likely be frost for a majority of time since I plan on farming Horde for honor at level 60. I can already hear people asking for a portal.
Im rolling human. I have made a deep frost build for myself with a bit of arcane and want to use it for both PvP and PvE. I also don't want to spec differently while leveling since I want to take it easy and just enjoy the game (I never played vanilla).

Alliance Human because of the sword spec or gnome because of the intellect (still haven't decided).
Frost spec for getting out of sticky situations and broader safety net.
PvE, I'll be tanking.
I'll be spell cleave dungeon leveling, so most likely enchanting and mining. Then engi and alch at 60.
