Hello! Big thanks to Teebling for making this forum. I really enjoyed reading through all the posts before making an account. I may not post much because I prefer to read, but this place here is so much more positive, upbeat, and enjoyable than the other popular forum alternative. Now that I have this place I can stop reading there altogether.
And a big thanks to all those who posted before me. Can't have a good forum without good people. :biggrin:
Hi I'm new here, but not new to WoW! I started in late Vanilla and I've played off and on ever since. I cannot wait to go back to Classic, the OG WoW.

Hey people,
I used to play Priest in Vanilla (first days of MC until the end of NAXX) in EU-Magtheridon on the guild Sigil (Alliance), I was one of the main healers (Holy/Disc)
I was a bit known in the server for having all recipes /patters of enchanting and tailoring
I am planning to play in Classic with the same objectives (main healer on a friendly raiding guild and collect all tailoring/enchanting patterns/recipes )
If anybody from the days remembers me "probably not ;)", feel free to contact me, it would be great to play again with some of the greatest players I have met from that time.

I started playing WoW in BC, gotta admit on private server first, I later decided to get the real thing and bought the game. Since I had to start everything from scratch I was lvl 50 when WotLK dropped, but no-lifed the game and managed to hit lvl cap soon after. Really enjoyed the game, made it into a semi-hc raiding guild, farmed everything that was available (reps, mounts, achievs, you name it).
Then Cataclysm hit and very soon I relized the game was headed in a direction I wasn't fond of, so before Pandaria hit I decided to quit for good.
Every now and then when there were news about WoW I checked it out of curiousity, and saw that leaving was the right thing to do.
Always told myself the only reason I'd come back to playing WoW if Blizz would officially release vanilla servers. Never actually thought it'd happen, but here I am, burning with anticipation.
I know it'll be different to whatever I have played then, but I'm sure that experience will be closer to whatever I've enjoyed about the game. I love a good challenge, alone or with partners. A good example would be the robot chicken escort quests: I remember finding those while questing, having to escort it halfway thru the world, and it was a b**** of a thing to do, failing many times in solo, but when I finally managed, that was satisfying, the kind of moment that makes it worthwile. Later it was nerfed when you had to escort it for a few meters with almost no opposition along the way. It was easy but disappointing.
I wanna try, I wanna fail and I wanna try again, until I manage.
Honestly, classic is the only thing I'm legit hyped for this year, summer just seems so far away.

Hi all, hyped-for-Classic guy found his way to the Barrens Chat.
Been playing since TBC with some off-time halfway into expansions from Pandaria to BfA. Now I'm playing a bit on Elysium to get hyped even more and to prepare myself (and not make dumb decisions when Classic launches). Any advice from veterans?
Found this forum via Reddit and ready to talk about how everyone's getting ready for June. I'm still making up my mind about what class to main. Always played Rogue as main, but might give Shaman a go this time.
Hello all, I have been playing since the last year of Vanilla and have played every xpac except Mists. Nothing has ever felt like Vanilla. I played on Aerie Peak(Horde) until they offered free server transfers to Quel'Dorei. I was in the guild Truewatch. And mainly played Freezehaha(UD mage) Shadowgurl(UD priest) and Candythefox(BE rogue). I never got to Raid in Vanilla so I am very much looking forward to giving it a try and plan to no life BG's until I can hear Drek'Thar yelling in my sleep.

Hello :) I found this forum through Redzy_TV, thanks for making it so very nice.
I started to play WoW 6 months before TBC came out. Somewhere around there when I was about 16 years old I think. My best friend and her boyfriend played it and they helped me make a new alliance character, a nightelf boomkin. Ever since I've played through the expacs casually (filthy casual!), doing my quests and such at my own pace. It wasn't until MoP and I'd gone Horde side (tauren, holy priest), and Siege of Orgrimmar came out that I found a guild in general chat shouting PR that I actually tried raiding that wasn't LFR. And so my WoW life continued until Legion where my interest started to taper off and my guild dismantled, and after about two months in BfA I actually unsubbed coz the game just felt boring to me.
I got really happy when Classic was announced, coz even though I did not play it as long as other people have done, I still remember the feeling. I hope to get that back if possible. :)
