Hi everyone,

Just poppin' in to say hello. I go by Alnir and like all of you, I'm sure, I'm a WoW addict. I'm from Canada, if anyone's interested, and I'm beyond excited for the release of WoW Classic. I stumbled across this forum quite by accident as I was trying my hardest to find the latest morsels of classic news/updates. I don't really know what to do with myself until the release because it's all I can think about. I can't even play other RPGs without longing to be playing classic, instead. So until then... I figured I'd endure the wait here. Misery enjoys company, after all.

The look and feel of this entire website, by the way, is excellent. Super well done. It certainly makes me feel closer to the 'classic' experience already!

Faendor Bit of a late reply lol but it's like I said, if WoW is a big part of our lives but we can't play together then we probably won't be friends. I don't think I would've been best friends with my best friends if it weren't for games, because we're very different types with different interests and backgrounds. So if there's no way I can match my 40 hours a week with someone else's 40 hours a week, then it will work against us and it is unlikely we will meet on any other activities.

On the contrary, I think there's very little emotion to it. I'd rather have someone who doesn't play at all than someone who plays something I could never join in and play myself. Having emotions would be the only kind of thing to make a man dump his guild, faction and server just to play with a girl.

Hi guys,

This looks like a great resource leading up to the release of Classic WoW. I am Selexin/Ryder and I played on US Kil'Jaeden to begin with (Selexin the Warrior), then Oceania Jubei'Thos at it's launch Jan 26 2006 (as Ryder the Druid). I played through a lot of Vanilla/TBC raiding content, then casually in each expansion from there on. The last 3 expansions I have played 1 character to new level cap, then cancelled subscription.

I am very excited for Classic WoW, and I can't wait to get back into it and hopefully rekindle old friendships, and create a lot of new friendships along the way.

I have my own little family now, but I know any free time I get will be spent playing or theorycrafting Classic WoW.

Cheers,
Selexin

I see I'm not the only person who's found this place today, but might as well have a crack at an introduction nonetheless.

I started playing in February 2006 and have played every expansion, although I've currently been unsubbed for almost half a year, so it's not much experience I have with BfA. Despite having played all those years, Vanilla was always the peak for me though, its heavy focus on RPG and social elements, as well as its huge interconnected world rather than singular continent, always made it special to me. I'm looking forward to Classic so I can get a second chance at doing things that I never accomplished back then, namely high end PvE content, which at the time was beyond my reach.

I'm planning on maining a Troll Mage this time (originally played a Tauren Warrior), I always loved how Mages felt like they had all the tools to survive in Vanilla's world, so I'm excited to give it a serious go this time.

A few people are using the userbars I made over here so I think people still like em :) Adds to the old school feeling.

I remember those! I think I even made a few myself, they're quick and easy to make if I recall, no more than 6 filters right?

Check out some of my old works I made over 10 years ago, jeez, has it been that long? Haha

Always good to talk shop with someone about this sort of thing, especially as I haven't opened photoshop for more than a quick edit in a looong, long time! It will be like 2005 all over again! :D

Hey guys,

I'm here to get pumped about the release of Classic since I never got the chance to play it when it was vanilla. I began once Wrath came out way back then and I played regularly until the middle of Legion when I decided to take a break.

I'm still deciding between Paladin and Druid for my class choice for Classic, but leaning towards Druid (still have no idea what faction, but I love Taurens).

So basically I have nothing figured out in terms of what I'll be playing other than that I for sure will be playing and seeing you guys out there!

I think we are talking about 2 different things but it doesn't matter

Hey all,

The name is Thunder. Glad to have found a place like this. It's really entertaining and nostalgic reading this up on this stuff again. Haven't read up on vanilla for a while and found this through a Reddit post. I'm most likely maining a shaman come classic.

Still lookong for an EU horde guild on a PvP server. Going to pay hardcore. Interested in a likewise hardcore guild.

Very excited to go through this journey again, and can't wait to see you all in-game. No matter the faction, I'm grateful for you all!
