why would everyone be bored? i haven't had a chance to listen to regular old vanilla music in ages. and who says most people disable sounds in game?
2- Sound effects are very LOW quality for today's standards. They should improve the quality of them or even replace them with new ones if they have better ideas.
and? this isn't a remaster. it's a remake. the goal is not to "improve vanillas faults".
3- We need improved character animations (weapon swings, jumping, spell casting etc.). Vanilla has many 'sucky' animations and at best they are outdated. Give us better ones.
or i could actually prefer the old animations seeing as i haven't seen them for almost 3 years now.
Stuff like Wind Waker HD or Warcraft 3 Reforged does exist though. Its not like there is no market for that.
but those were marketed as remasters to begin with. vanilla wow has never been that.
Toggles are fine, I want to hear the sounds and see the sights I did 14 years ago. Sure I can run it max settings and 4k res now, but the aesthetic should be the same, and the ambience from soundtrack and sound effects needs to be the same (for me personally). I think client side toggles are a good idea so everyone can be happy and make their own choice.

I actually think some of the newer animations are a big improvement, but I'm not upset at all that they won't be in Classic. And as someone stated elsewhere, they might look wonky with the old armor.

Listen, I found myself thinking Classic with updated visuals would be great, too. In the end I think you can not recreate the feeling of experiencing everything WoW offered for the first time. New soundtrack, sound effect and visuals will not change that. What you are looking for is a game with visuals and technology of today with WoW core principals at the center.
BTW: Vanillas soundtrack is the best damn soundtrack of all time. If you can't stand listening to it your taste is weird. The quality of music and sound were always amazing in Blizzard games. And I personally like the old animations way more than the ones they implemented.

Are you High? If anything vanilla sounds, animations and music are alot better than the updated retail versions. Mabey they can make sounds/music higher bitrate or something. Other than that, for the love of god dont change it. Id say you are the crazy one. Updates arent allways better.
Animations, sounds and music are what makes vanilla.
1. Vanilla and BC had some of the best music I have ever heard. I love it, and don't want it changed at all for Classic. I'm in no way sick of the music.
2. The sounds are fine for the most part, most sounds are still used in live WoW.
3. I don't care one way or another if we get to use the new models and animations, as long as it's an OPTION.
Now that I look at the thread name again " #MakeClassicBetter " I almost wonder if this is a troll post against the #NoChanges movement? It just seems completely contradictory to everything that has been announced about the Classic WoW project! This thread triggers me way more than it should hahah.
The problem with this idea is that replacing means removing, and there will be HELL to pay if you remove the old music and sound effects.

I think they have a couple of toggles to go to newer textures/shader, with the classic graphics options there by default.

Old graphics has nothing special about them and they don't make the game any more fun (but don't tell #nochanges acolytes that!)
Noobs who start with 2004 graphics will convert to modern graphics very soon, believe me.
People who said they "love vanilla soundtracks and don't need more" most probably didn't listen to them for some time. They're good but no music can last you more than a couple months. You'll hate it and gladly mute it after 1000th time.
