I've had fu*k all drop for me that is worth more than vendor price.
I didn't have any noteworthy drops from 1-60, I'm not even sure I found a single green in a chest. But within a week after reaching 60 I'd found Twig of the World Tree, Shadowblade and Taran Icebreaker.
I got an Arcane Crystal on my first Rich Thorium Vein. It was the first hit on the node as well. Hope it counts :)

My best drop so far was a https://classic.wowhead.com/item=13486/recipe-transmute-undeath-to-water . Dropped in BRD while spellcleaving on my mage, I was the only one needing on it and learned it instantly even though at this time the drop was worth 1200g on Firemaw.
The group realized what just dropped but didn't get mad because I learned it.
Sure, could just left and be rich, but I rather use that cooldown daily :smile:
FTHforever my IRL friend told me a few days ago that he and my other IRL friends had that drop in a group (I wasn’t playing yet at the time, I started later) and he convinced them to let him keep it/they would all profit from him transmuting them. He sold it on the AH and laughed at all of them. What are friends for lmao?

Fished three Essences of Water from a single patch of elemental water.

Yeah that's 8g daily. That doesn't sound much, but that's twice of a arcanite cooldown and a solid 240g extra per month. So in like 5 months it paid itself.
On the other hand because of the auction house is so incredible unpredictable on Firemaw, I sold the https://classic.wowhead.com/item=14551/edgemasters-handguards that I got instead of using them, as money is worth more than commodities at the moment.
