Which playstyle do you think your gonna go with when summer begins?
Speed leveling:
Relaxed leveling:
Just going to use this opportunity to link our mini guide to speedrunning and Jpy's speedrunning leaderboards for the new guys here who might not have seen them!
I don't want to rush the experience of leveling, I've waited 14 years to experience a fresh official vanilla WoW server, I'm going to savour it. Dungeons, world PvP, helping friends and guildies. I get the appeal of speedrunning, but not as a first character on fresh blizzard server and not to get to end game content ASAP, leveling is a fun social activity and I can't wait!
I love the leveling process so I will savor it. I have no interest in PvP but I am looking forward to leveling my professions with my character and doing most of the dungeons, hopefully helping some people. I will be playing alone given that I don't have any friends but if I'm lucky maybe I will meet someone.
i am not really speedrunning it but i have 3 weeks free time on release so i will outlevel all my friends and most players. I then will try to get into raids early so i can level other Chars with my friends.
I personally want to rush my leveling experience on my first toon because I want to be a MT for a higher end guild but I also want to level with my friends so I am torn between matching their pace and just going full out.
One issue that impedes me though with my friends is that I currently live in Thailand and they are all East Coast, USA so our hours will never match anyways. Because of this I might just bang out my toon as fast as I can.
In my opinion speed leveling is the relaxed leveling.
Unlike RE or Sekiro, or whatever, the wow "speed run" isn't intense at all.
I rather get a head of the pack, have a plan and coast to 60 instead of having to level in the contested zones with a bunch of other players.
I'm aiming for something in the middle. I want to be efficient with my leveling, but I'm going to give some extra time to my favorite dungeons and exploring so I don't get burnt out on questing.
Well Wormfood i think thats some what relaxed, because you are going to get far behind those speedies.
My goal is to try and beat the Zerg in levels the first 24hrs or more lol. Love doing dungeons and can’t wait for them.

That is exactly what I plan on doing come release. There are some instances which are either not worth it or I simply dont like them and I wont bother doing them for the sole purpose of "doing them all". On the other hand I am really looking forward to doing instances like SFK, SM or ZF. Being a healer this time around should provide a nice change to leveling now and then.
I really like World PvP, but I am considering starting on a PvE server nevertheless as I hate being constantly ganked by high-level players. At least on some of the private servers there are zones that are just unplayable because level 60s roam around killing and corpse camping lowbies.
Gonna treat WoW classic like a fine wine and savor it slowly.

I am in the same boat as you two guys. I want to be efficient but not fast. I do not want to burn out. I like doing the dungeons, save for mount, maybe even level up alt when I am not in the mood for main and have those two cooperate.
I'm a stop-and-smell-the-flowers kind of gamer already, and I also really want to savor the experience, so this summer I'm probably gonna take the slowness to a whole new level
Gonna take my time to reexperience all the quests, look in all the nooks and crannys, and do my professions as I'm leveling.

Yeah I'm not aiming for a server first or anything even near that, my goal is just to stay ahead of the average player. Mainly so I can hopefully avoid some ganking
