Hey!
I'm thinking about creating a thread for our creative heads in the forum.

This thread should serve as a start, here I would like to discuss with you if you are interested in something like this. If so, I will adjust the first post later and will use this thread to collect our Youtuber and Twitcher.

Should we introduce a condition for such a thread?
For example, you must be registered for at least 3 months and have more than 50 posts.

Because in the long run it would be cool if we really had a thread with active users of Barrens and their videos and streams.

How do you feel about it?

Greetings Aeh!

I mean an extra platform for networking is never a bad thing?

But I HATE spam threads, never use them and idk how many even do.

Nono, no "I am live please check me out". Just a thread where in the first Thread every streamer and youtuber is linked and then we can just talk in the thread normal about stuff like that.

For example, Person A write:
Do someone know a good Video about Tailoring?

Person B answer:
Ye, check at the Video vom Creator XYZ here is the link xyz.

Something like that.

But I am not sure if teebling give rights to one User to deleted in a specific thread, so we can delete posts with:"hey im live please check me out"

No - this is something I don’t want. Links in signatures and active posting should be sufficient enough for people wanting exposure for their youtube channel or stream or discord.

Based. I avoided other communities because of how prevalent streamer advertising is. Thank you.

Hey!
I'm thinking about creating a thread for our creative heads in the forum.
Wouldn't this apply to everyone though? Surely not all streamers/youtubers are "creative heads" since most of them all present the same information. Are there not also some very creative and innovative theory-crafters and contributors who don't stream? Besides, if I want to know what a streamer/youtuber is saying I'll go to their respective channel. I think it's quite unnecessary to designate a place for free advertising under the guise of information sharing.

And let's be honest, these dickheads are going to spam ads in trade enough as it is. I really don't want to see that here as well.

People who spam in "/2 HEY LOVELY FELLOWERS CHEKC OUT MY YT CHANNEL" getting instant ignored by me:D
I mean the only thing I do until 60 is "/dnd took a look at my twitch channel, im busy right now sorry -> www.twitch.tv/aehya" After that I stop totally to make any "advertisement" in game.

My idea was to only really represent the people here who actively form the forum with us.
But I fully understand your concerns!

Thanks for your feedback!

Yes, I'd be cool to see active users of Barren Chat and their videos and streams. Also, it allows a connection between fans and creators.

I was a yes until I read this. I think this is actually just enough. While I was a yes, I couldn't think of how I'd exactly want this handled because it could easily just end up as an outlet for spam but after reading this I think this is the best, least abusable method of promoting a channel: The quality of your posts preceding your signature that has your twitch channel link.

While some of us abhor the hordes of <insert big streamer here>'s fans for being incredibly toxic or whatever your problem is with them, I think that a twitch following/community of streamers born out of a place, like this, that seems to have a more dense population of long-time veterans who value the older ideals greater than most. I feel that kind of community would be staunchly different.

At least that's my glass half full approach to it. I think there's just as much of a chance that I could be wrong but I don't think fan bases truly become toxic/problematic until they get to huge major corporate sponsorship deal levels.

I think small streamer communities forming out of a place like this, other places born out of passion projects like CountdownToClassic, etc, could be really awesome. Especially when you throw in world pvp or just world antics in general.

Again, glass half full thinking... I think there's just as much of a chance for disaster but I trust in the community I've seen blossoming so much around this game.

teebling can you close this thread?
In principle, the subject has been clarified and we do not want such a thing here.
