If it's for questing and raiding PURELY with no regard to PvP... it would likely be Troll for everything that can be a troll.
Honestly, that increased damage against beasts is just stupid good considering the majority of mobs you will be killing in the world are beasts.
Warrior - Troll
Warlock - Undead or Orc, both are pretty even in terms of PvE
Shaman - Troll
Druid - Tauren (obviously)
Priest - Troll
Rogue - Troll
Hunter - 100% Troll
Mage - Troll
Paladin - Get the fuck outta here
Tauren Warrior are the surprise of Beta. Much of the theorycrafting over the years on pservers did not include this degree of leeway + Tauren hitbox mechanics, and beta players are saying Tauren Warriors are more fearsome than Orc Warriors (except vs Rogues/Pallys/Warriors of course). The hitbox range is absolutely absurd and makes it so much harder to kite Tauren Warriors than any other race.
- Tauren leeway is unreal.
- Orcs are the most unbalanced race altogether, 100%.
- Undeads are arguably the coolest race, WOTF is God-tier and Cannibalize is pretty solid for leveling. Bonus points if you roll a Priest.
- Trolls, I love'em, but man, their cloak is literally 15 inches away from their back.
Edit: To actually make my post slightly more useful;
Druid: Eh......well.....Tauren.
Hunter: Troll due to bow specialization and Berserking. Bonus point for Beast Slaying.
Rogue: Orc because of Hardiness and Blood Fury for additional damage. Undead is solid as well.
Mage: Troll PVE due to Berserking and Beast Slaying. Undead PVP because well, WOTF, again, God-tier in PVP.
Shaman: Orc if Enhancement, Troll if Restoration/Elemental.
Warlock: Orc gets additional pet damage on top of being the ultimate vanilla race.
Warrior: Orc for Fury PVE, Orc/Troll for Protection. Orc's Axe Specialization = more threat = easier tanking. Same goes for Beast Slaying. Orc for Arms PVP, Hardiness = broken.
Priest: Undead, WOTF carries in PVP. Troll is arguably better if you intend on rolling a Shadow Priest (or do PVE content) due to Shadowguard (reflecting melee attacks), Berserking and Hex of Weakness (reducing effectiveness of healing by 20%).
To keep it somewhat short.
Ariba has it covered. The undead vs orc difference really comes down to what the populations are like. I think priest is going to be even more popular with the legends of shadow priest and the fact that anyone that wants to seriously main heal is going priest. Unsure on alliance warlocks, but the thing to keep in mind is that there are going to be so many people playing that the class spread is going to be different than private servers.
WotF is better (for a serious pvper) than Hardiness. The issue is, it's also so situational, and because it's situational, it can potentially be less useful depending on demographics.
Undead for all their classes because their racials are the most superior

PvP is the only thing you should care about when talking about strength of each race, as PvE is a walk in the park and no one cares about rankings.
Hunter - Orc
Warrior - Orc
Warlock - Orc
Rogue - Orc
Shaman - Orc
Mage - Undead
Priest - Doesn't matter, both are really strong
Druid - duh..
As for Alliance as a bonus
Hunter - Dwarf
Warrior - Gnome
Warlock - Gnome
Rogue - Dwarf
Paladin - Dwarf
Mage - Gnome
Priest - Dwarf

Now go back and read what I wrote, look at the individual racials, understand that Hardiness outvalues WoTF for PvP for a warlock and understand that Troll is favorable for both PvE and PvP for a priest - though an argument could be made for an Undead if you are taking an inner focus devouring plague build - but outside of this, troll is superior.

I like the troll priest build that strictly attacks hunter pets with bows myself.
