Alliance: Elwynn Forest
Horde: The Barrens
Both: STV
Ashenvale without a doubt.
My dirty secret is that my favorite leveling zone of all time is the Cataclysm version of Stonetalon Mountains, but if we're only looking at vanilla, then Duskwood and Hillsbrad.
Probably Tirisfal but I think the hinterlands and searing gorge are severely underrated.
Ashenvale. Still remember the first time going there on my undead rogue and being in awe of the aesthetics and music, not to mention the banking possibilities! It's a proper fantasy settings imo
I like the Arathi Highlands. They're open so you can see really far, and the mob density isn't super annoying, except in Stromgarde, but I liked having that sudden "whoa, this place is dangerous" feeling, kinda like Jintha'alor in Hinterlands.
STV so I can bully as many people as possible
STV has it all; great scenery, a plethora of quests, huge and dense landscape, and a constant anxiety due to the ever looming threat of dealing with the opposing faction on a whole new scale from any previous zone. On private servers this is different; it is STVietnam, but I don't factor those unrealistic experiences into my opinion.
 Elwynn Forest.
Brings back so many good memories of getting lvl 10 and rerolling because I was never satisfied with my class when i was a 9-year-old.
Favorite Leveling zone is propably Tanaris. All my toons go there to do the Wastewanderer / Pirate quests because its a very reliable level or two.
By the feel and style I am gonna go with Duskwood or EPL, always liked them for the brooding atmosphere.
For me it's a three way tie between Dun Morogh, The Barrens and Blasted Lands.
Dun Morogh is just so beautiful and crisp and I enjoy spending time there.
Now the Barrens. Woof. The Barrens is the first time your character starts feeling less like a peon and more like a Grunt in training and I love it.
The Blasted lands holds just so much nostalgia for me, along with being sooo so close to the inevitable threat of the Burning Legion. The consumable quests are cool to do and I love hunting rares to assist the lonely Draenei.
I have a huge amount of nostalgia for Westfall.
One Saturday morning in 2004, I was playing WoW while watching a show called "Cheat!" on G4. The hostess was explaining that if you go to Westfall and emote at a chicken 100 times, you'll get him as a companion.
Of course I couldn't resist and I did it immediately. For some reason that has always been one of my fondest WoW memories and I'll always remember Westfall for it.
I watched G4's "Movies That Don't Suck" while leveling my first night elf warrior!
Ashenvale for the lore and scenery & Stranglethorn Vietnam.
I have a real soft spot for wintery-type zones, so Dun Morogh is my clear favorite. There's also something great about how the zone seems so self-contained. Like, all you'd ever need is there in one place.
 Elwynn Forest.

I'm still not satisfied with class choices after 12 years playing
