I remember getting https://www.wowhead.com/item=9379/sangthraze-the-deflector and https://www.wowhead.com/item=11086/jangthraze-the-protector and combining them to create Sul'thraze. Was such an amazing feeling. Honestly, even though I played a warrior in vanilla, this sword makes me want to do it all over again in Classic instead of trying something new.

Absolutely https://classic.wowhead.com/item=22691/corrupted-ashbringer for me. It's not the greatest 2h, but the lore surrounding it fascinates me. Also the sword literally talks to you AND makes you friendly with the Scarlet Crusade which results in a whole RP event in Scarlet Monastery. One of the coolest little things in the game imo.
It feels like I told this story already a couple times but it took me ages to get https://www.wowhead.com/item=18803/finkles-lava-dredger and it was probably the only item I wanted for over six months.
My honorable mention is https://www.wowhead.com/item=19357/herald-of-woe which got me into PvP. I got it for minimum DKP in a guild I hated and in a raid I hated. I got kicked because I was too arrogant I guess. The guild I joined where progressing pretty amateurish at Chromaggus and Nef and didn't want to take any tips from me. My old guild split after the higher ups were offered places in one of the most famous guild in Germany. Best decision I ever made and got Rank 11. Those sweet PvP mounts had so much swag back then.
