While leveling in vanilla, just being a kid I really wanted to have an epic so I spent all the gold I had on Taran Icebreaker and felt so cool.
I was a druid.
It gets better.
I leveled as a balance druid. I had no regrets back then, I mean I had a purple item but looking back I can't help but cringe a little. But I will never forget this item, it still holds a special place in my heart, maybe I will buy it again if it's cheap just for sentimental value.

Oh man, that's a tough one. Although I never obtained it (planned on cashing in all of my DKP, but NEVER dropped in like 20x BWL runs) https://classic.wowhead.com/item=19334/the-untamed-blade was my favorite weapon design (aesthetically speaking). https://classic.wowhead.com/item=1973/orb-of-deception was my favorite "fun" item. I still remember flying to Dire Maul (I think it was?) and farming that rare spawn in the arena area every day. Such a glorious feeling when it finally dropped! :mrgreen:
It doesn't serve me a purpose now but on my first character (Night Elf Warrior) I felt so awesome wielding https://classic.wowhead.com/item=2916/gold-lion-shield . I loved it's unique appearance and how it actually looked like what a "Gold Lion Shield" would look like. Plus the idea of being a golden clad warrior was awesome. An old friend of mine bought and sent me the entire https://www.wowhead.com/transmog-set=218/burnished-mail set too and finding this shield to go along with my https://classic.wowhead.com/item=18957/brushwood-blade#comments made me feel like Link.
Now why I was wearing such low quality gear in the Wetlands was simply because I preferred the looks of the Burnished set. I even bought a Robe because it made me feel like some sort of cool expert warrior who didn't "need" armor.

I think you guys just made me want to alt my OG warrior, although I deeply dislike the Alliance.
I asked essentially the same question over a month ago - but I hold no ill will on such a topic.
For me it was the night I earned my Benediction/Anathema. I had worked tirelessly to get the components (comes with the territory when you have <EJ> on your server)
Having earned the 7th Ben/Ana on Mal'Ganis was a massive accomplishment for me, especially NOT being in a server "first" type of guild. Getting that staff only amplified how I was playing my Priest at the time. I was the Priest class leader and Healer's leader for my guild. Earning that staff (MANY DOTS, NEED MORE DKP) was just such a feeling of "I've arrived," as an end-game healer it would be difficult to forget.
Hand's down my favorite item in WoW, and I transmog it to this very day, unless for limitations through Blizz...

As a DPS warrior you can - and should - get it early on in the game and will even wear it through Naxxramas. Such a lovely peace of equipment.
I just can't wait to make twinks again. For me there isn't anything more iconic for twinking than a Rogue duel wielding https://classic.wowhead.com/item=1482/shadowfang and https://classic.wowhead.com/item=1935/assassins-blade .
For me it has to be https://classic.wowhead.com/item=2824/hurricane .
I love fast bows, and this is the fastest bow in the game.
I use it for everything i do, except for raids.
I also try to get my hands on 2x https://classic.wowhead.com/item=8190/hanzo-sword with https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=13898/enchant-weapon-fiery-weapon to look cool and get a little bit of burst on melee. XD
A pretty impossible question to answer since there's so many awesome items in this game. Since low level items are underrepresented, I'll go with a few of my big go-to items that I always drool over when I level:
https://classic.wowhead.com/item=6472/stinging-viper might be my favorite. I've always loved WC, and a the spiky snake mace is just dope.
Of course, https://classic.wowhead.com/item=6324/robes-of-arugal was high up on the wishlist for every warlock I played.
And with enhancement shaman edging close to 30, excited as shit knowing that https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=8232/windfury-weapon is right around the corner - I would run RFK over and over from around level 28 for that sweet sweet https://classic.wowhead.com/item=6687/corpsemaker .
Ahhh yes, and I just remembered - https://classic.wowhead.com/item=11122/carrot-on-a-stick is also way way up the list for multiple reasons. My favorite questline in the game, ZF being my favorite dungeon - combined with its meta name. It's beautiful.
Really love getting Herod's Shoulder as early as I can! Tanking SM as much as it takes! :biggrin:
