To my understanding Mage has the strongest Atiesh - as that 2% crit aura provides massive benefit for many classes (Holy Paladin, Fire Mage, Warlock) which are all already extremely good the point where you can get Atiesh.
@Apol In all honestly, having Atiesh posses no significant benefit, in the end every boss can be defeated without it. I'd have it on someone who can use it to accomplish something extraordinary like a warlock tank or priest tank.
At this point in the game it's not about the bosses anymore. It's about getting into a BG with it and watching people flee in terror! The same goes for https://classic.wowhead.com/item=22798/might-of-menethil . If you see a warrior or shaman on the opposing team with that you might as well just leave the game lest you be disconnected by the sheer force of a WF crit backed by https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=24378/berserking and a trinket.
Priest. Especially if it's in the same raid as Cletus
I would vote Mage, but it doesnt help them make water faster...

Hey Teebling, when are we going to get a "thumbs down" option?
Well lets throw this here for comparison
Mage: https://classic.wowhead.com/item=22589/atiesh-greatstaff-of-the-guardian
Druid: https://classic.wowhead.com/item=22632/atiesh-greatstaff-of-the-guardian
Warlock: https://classic.wowhead.com/item=22630/atiesh-greatstaff-of-the-guardian
Priest: https://classic.wowhead.com/item=22631/atiesh-greatstaff-of-the-guardian
I think because of the party spell damage warlock could be the winner,
If your guild favours keeping the raid alive then priest would probably get it.
This guy gets it!
Ooh. I fully support this!
As someone who makes a lot of opinionated and polarizing posts, I would be on the negative end of this often and am still HEAVILY in favor of adding a thumbs down option.
Once you have it, content is done and on farm anyways. So whoever has the highest dkp, roll whatever. It's not a status nor a banner. It's an item. Simple as that. It's actually easier to get than Thunderfury, as the splinters pieces are multiple drops per once.
We've had one on every class back then.
Probably goes to GM/officer with 100% raid attendance over a long period.
@Guest as far as I know, Atiesh was so rare it wasnt even 1 per server since so few people finished Naxx. I'd like to know what guild, realm and class you played back in vanilla because I'd never heard of having multiple staffs in a guild
Me, the bestest Druid of course
Usually it's whoever pulls their weight and others, like the GM, Raid Leaders and Officers.
I'm really hoping that with all of the Naxx info and strategy out there that more of these will go out. I think legendary items (WotLK legendary and older) are one of my favorite things to go after. I'm really shooting for Atiesh in Vanilla I think. That's going to be my white whale.
