Hmm i'll be honest I don't have set goals per say. Obviously getting to 60 and doing some end content is a given but I'll be taking my time just taking it day and by day. If I manage to find myself a fun guild and friends to casually raid with and pvp I'll be really happy with that :)
I've never thought much about legendary/epic items and I didn't realized classic had so many cool ones. I'm definitely going to try to get some of the neat ones that have a lot involved in collecting them.
Well, kinda easy. Keep playing, since I really want to get to clear BWL and if possible, AQ40 and Naxx as well. Which includes what I deem to be the biggest hurdle: find a suitable guild! And maybe even one that hosts IRL guild meets. I did attend one back in vanilla and it just changed a lot tbh - the sense of community was even better than before.
Aside from that... witness the AQ40 opening, get Rank 10 (well, Rank 14 would be nice...but I'm not sure it's feasible... *sigh*), be a top-dps warrior (at the very least in my guild) with good rep. Also, for once I want to not be forever-poor. I've learned some goblining skills in WoD and Legion and hope I can translate that into being somewhat liquid while playing classic :)
And as a purely cosmetic goal, I want to get a Kodo Mount early on (as an orc). Style is everything! :)
My goal is simply to be in a world without donald trump.
- Reach level 60
- Max out my professions alchemie & herbalism
- Grind up a start capital of gold
- Rule the market of potions
- Hit gold cap
:)
My only goal in Classic is to get swept away in it's lore, it's RPG elements and it's community.
Having never been able to play Vanilla and never really getting into Retail (only played on and off a bit since MoP) I want to experience the game like all my friends had when it originally came out. I hear all these amazing stories from it and if I could get that experience for like 75 % then my goal will be reached.
Goal: have fun with friends.

214,748 gold 36 silver and 47 copper was max on the 32 bit client back in the day.

A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at.

True that
Everybody seems to play World of Warcraft a different way, some people do the whole raiding scene, some people focus on PvP, but what I'm interested in today are your unique personal goals. As an example:
I had a friend who loved fishing, and I don't recall if this was in Classic or TBC, but there was a particular fish he just had to get in Ironforge. Trouble was, we were horde, and It was a rather difficult place to get to and sit in undetected while you fished.
So he did a lot of research and found a solution. He went to Ironforge and died, then resurrected at his body, repeating this to get further and further into the city. He eventually reached the lava pools he had to fish from, but there was no way you could just hang out there without someone killing you.
He died again, then hopped onto a very specific bucket down below the area where the flightmaster is (this is my friend's story and not mine, so if anyone has more detail, please add) and respawned. From there, it was just a matter of being lucky enough to not get killed while fishing.
Finally, he was victorious and caught the fish, https://www.wowhead.com/item=34484/old-ironjaw#comments , I believe.
What's on your radar? Some kind of off the beaten path personal goal, that may or may not even give you many good rewards?
I'm slightly alt-oholic, I hope to get at least 4 characters to max level and in their dungeon Tier 0 sets. I would love to get my main through at least AQ40, hopefully see some/all of Naxx this time around, and have my primary alt in T2.
Get to 60 fast. Beat all of the content. Gank a ton of people in wPvP (both lowbies and highbies). Possibly do the rank grind... Probably not though. Beat the game and win. Then do it all over again. Probably on the other faction.
