Without going into specific details, I think my main goal (apart from the obvious "have fun, enjoy the game") is to make a new start. We all begin with nothing: no characters, no gold, no collectibles, only empty servers and our knowledge of the game.
It's like starting a new D&D campaign: the game itself is not entirely new, you know the rules and probably the setting, but it's still building up from scratch.
I love to start over as well!
That's why I love Ladder resets in D2 and occasionally D3.
And hopefully they will do this in Classic as well since I don't want to progress further then TBC expansion.

D2 just reset on the weekend, was just leveling a trap assassin on West HC Ladder. I pretty much always solo play D2, but always online in case I want to do anything with friends/randoms/trading.
Right now my only goal is to get phase one Robe of the void. I want to do some raiding and would love to also get a fairly early azuresong mageblade but that would also just be frosting one the cake. I'm not going to take it to seriously after the first couple of weeks and will mostly just focus on pvp but I don't have any goals of high pvp rank. I never did AQ40 or naxx in retail vanilla and would like to see them this time, but I also have so much else going on in real life so I don't know if I can devote that much time to see it this time eather.

Yeh I'm just soloing as lit trap assassin atm, about 1/3 through Act 3 normal (around lvl 22). It's always good for a couple of weeks of fun for me! Then I might hit up some ESO/SWTOR until Aug 27.
1. Not regret my decision to play a class I have already played before, even though I love my choice (Lazy Hybrid Feral build for Dungeon/PuG/PvP)
2. Do my part for creating a sense of community, not just in the guild, but beyond
3. It's no longer possible for me to sink days at a time into WoW, I want to experience a slower paced side of the game
4. Level an alt of a class I have never played (priest, mage or warlock)
5. When the time comes & the gates are open, find a way to, without having to quit my job, experience AQ40 (and eventually Naxxrammas)

I would love to get Rank 10 for all the blue PvP gear, but I don't think I'll have the time or patience. I think I got to rank 6 or 7 in vanilla. Realistically I would love to just deck myself out in a good set of feral dps/tanking gear, a nice off-set healing gear and get some PvP and maybe casual raiding done.
I am happy to just do 5 mans and BGs and level alts and chill with friends mostly. It's a great big Azeroth out there, and there is plenty to see and do.
Updating list from hardest/easiest of what I want:
I'm a simple man with simple needs, Tier 2.5 would be Godly, but I don't think I can commit to a regular raiding schedule. PvP and Dungeons is where I think I will spend my time.
Having a great time reliving what to me was the best game I had ever played.
Getting to level 60 the solo way since my limited internet doesn't allow for extended game time.
Enjoying the entertainment of reading chat from noobs to the original game. It should be interesting stuff. Like hey how come I'm level 10 and only have 50 copper? Where's the gold? Do we really have to run everywhere for 39 levels? I really have to spend time going to a trainer to learn skills? etc. etc.
This is going to be a lot of fun.
While I would still LOVE to grind to R13 on my warrior, I think my more realistic personal goal is to tank BWL with my feral druid. I managed to tank all of MC with our alt runs like a few weeks before TBC released and it was a BLAST. So yeah, next stop will be BWL!
My goal is to take my time levelling and exploring each zone, doing a bit of casual RP here and there, making new friends along the way - then attempt some raids at 60. Excited for experiencing classic world PVP again!
What first drew me into WoW was seeing my friend level his Dwarf in Ashenvale, in character. He was complaining about the long grass making his beard wet, then went around asking night elf players if they could help him find a specific kind of bear. I loved how interactive people were - to each other and the environment - and I'd be happy playing Classic just to see more of that again.

Hello, I have prepared this discord server for WoW Classic. This discord server will be used for one specific realm when it is announced and released. I know its early to setup an already discord server for WoW Classic; especially a discord sever that is based off an unannounced realm. Although, I can really see how this discord server being helpful for players on one same realm.
Now I am sure you are wondering “what’s the point of using a discord server when you can simply find everything you need ingame?”. Well your right. I see this discord server as a extension of our realm’s community.
**1.** You can view chat history (see list of past guild recruitments, search item by name in #trade, etc.).
**2.** Slow Mode is active (besides general chat) - this prevents spam.
**3.** Horde and Alliance have segregated chat channels (besides general; subject to change) - Horde players will view Horde chats only and vice-versa for Alliance (you can’t see both chat channels at the same time, must choose one faction).
**4.** Discord is like world chat but organized with channels for looking for group, trade, and looking for guild.
**5.** You can find addons, macros, and guides.
**6.** Majority of players are already comfortable using discord rather ingame voice chat.
**7.** This Discord server promotes English only in all text chat channels.
The name of the discord server will be the same name of a WoW Classic realm that players voted for in #🎫realm-vote channel. That will be the realm this discord will be dedicated to.
