Usually I would book time off, meal prep and go 2-3 days straight followed by a week of 4-5hr sleep sessions but the last time I did this was ArcheAge's (1st) Fresh Start which was a while back, I am now 25 with a business about to be launched so I'm on the fence about doing it. Classic will have many returning players due to its nature so I was wondering what everyone else will be doing.
Do you have any plans?
With the info on the release date will you be booking time off?
Will you be letting your education suffer?
Or are you wondering if you're a bit too occupied to be doing this shit anymore
At the least I think I will be able to do 36 hours and then try to get solid 7-8h sleeps. I'm gifted with the business being fairy low time-consumption wise working 8-11am *not including a networking/marketing push. So I don't think it will suffer as long as I do what I need to do before I log on which will be the most difficult part
Oh and I'm DEFINITELY eating healthier than I did last time, sleep deprivation can be harsh especially if you're not subjected to it often enough. Things that are good to consider are eggs, bananas/berries, nuts and lots of water.
Here's hoping my body survives this launch too
I planned the release day off so I can log on 6pm (East Coast release time) the night before and play ~20hrs straight. Even that's pushing it. I've got too much IRL responsibility now. But those 20 hrs should be a good "needle in the arm".
I couldn't get the launch off sadly! But managed to get 2 weeks off a couple days after launch. Hopefully the servers are horrible at the start and I get to miss that hah. I shall still log in for launch and play for a few hours then go to work. Launches midnight here.

The game launches 11pm for me in England  I'll go that night/day and the next day most likely

I feel ya, I wonder what the average age of Classic players will be -- most if not all the ogs would have some serious mid-life responsibilities now!
I will have to see if I work or not, and what time the release will be here in Sweden.
I remember the release of Guild-wars2 was during the night in sweden, and waiting for the login with the guild was really fun!
I'll be working so probably just gonna wait for the weekend after launch, grab a few cold beers and play until the missus cracks the whip.
I've waited years for this so what's the point in rushing.
I’m actually quitting my job end of juli because I only recently got my high school diploma via self study ( and special government organised exams ) so that I can finally pursue a college degree.
August i’m taking a big long vacation, but I will be back in time for launch, and my course starts end of september so i’ll have a solid month to enjoy launch to the fullest.
Having worked nights in a club for the past 8 years have made me very resistant to messed up my biorythm.
( shifts anywhere in between 19:00 in the evening to 10 in the morning )
After that though I hope I’ll have had my fill a bit and that i will be able to slow down and not let it get in the way of my education this time.
I'm planning it out as well.
I'm 32, also running a Business, and have about 6 employees.
Thankfully, some of them are gamers as well. :D
I'm taking about a week off for Launch. Probably not all day off.
Still going to do meetings, answer some emails and stuff from home.
Besides that, i'll order like 20 vegetarian meals, drink lot's of water and tea. Plenty of fruits and nuts for snacks.
For sleeping schedule, i'm good with getting about 6-7 hours a day after the first 24h rush.
It's going to launch at 7pm here, so it works nicely.
Probably going to sleep around 10-ish pm every day and waking up around 5-ish with a shower.
I hate being sleep deprived, and it has to be fun and feel good about it.
No Coffee, no Soft Drinks, no Drugs. Just a nice hyped up immersion. :)
The only thing i'm totally not disciplined about is exercise.
I'm slim profile and ride my bike around, but stretching and taking a 10 min walk would be nice.
I'll probably skip that tho. I'll be running a lot in Azeroth, i think that counts. :)
I have no delusions about "getting ahead of the curve" and that's fine. I'll start immediately when I get home from work and go solidly through to my regular bedtime, so I can go to the gym like normal in the morning to keep myself from completely deteriorating. Definitely planning on getting gormless with my playtime on the weekends though.
I thought about it and I dont want to rush the leveling phase just to be ahead of someone else. I will play efficiently but not fast above all else.
Im planning to do 12 hours sessions few days + weekend after the release and after that just normal play. Looking forward to get back to real Azeroth and enjoy it to the fullest. :)
My plan is to request the week off. I'm holding off to make that request at the start of August in case of any delays during summer.
Seeing if friends will be doing the same so we can LAN. We'll usually go out to lunch together, smoke all day, and level up. It's a blast from the past!
The weekend of release is a 3 day weekend at my company so I took of the preceding thursday and friday to make it a 5 day weekend.
My wife isn't a gamer but she understands my passion and will compensate for my lack of dad duties over these 5 days.
I plan on ordering take out, having a battery of coffee and water available, and soaking up as much of the newbie undead campaign as possible to relive the magic of my first character, my Undead Warlock.
Gonna do my damndest to level as much as possible over these 5 days because after that, regular full time dad duties kick back in and I want to be as close to 60 and raid ready as possible.
I am a stay at home house husband, or something like that so I have lots of time. I'm going to play for around 4-5 hours, then do housework for about 5 minutes, then play for around 3-4 hours then fix dinner, then play until around midnight, sleep, then get up & do it again, amen!
When I finally get to level 60, my house is going to look like a five ass monkey exploded in it.
Most likely I'll be spending the two weeks after launch promoting the site as much as possible and playing very little.

The real MVP :)
