PvE Fire Mage DPS Gems, Enchants, & Consumables

Fire Mages primarily use gems, enchants, and consumables that increase their Intellect, Hit, and Critical Strike Chance to maximize their performance in Mists of Pandaria. Haste and Mastery are generally avoided and only picked up in some cases where there is no better alternative.

Gems

Early on, it is advised to go for Hybrid Intellect/Critical Strike Chance gems. However, some gearing choices may accommodate Critical Strike Chance gems over the hybrid approach as the expansion progresses. If you struggle to find gear with Critical Strike Chance, opt for as many Critical Strike Chance gems as possible.
