Argent Crusade Reputation Guide

Welcome to Warcraft Tavern’s Reputation Guide to the Argent Crusade in Wrath of the Lich King Classic! Within this guide, we will go over how to gain reputation, gaining the reputation tabard and how to successfully farm reputation in Wrath of the Lich King Classic dungeons.

How to Get Exalted with the Argent Crusade

There are a decent number of non-repeatable quests in Northrend that grant Argent Crusade rep — doing all of these will net you ~18,000 rep, leaving you quite a ways to Exalted. Fortunately, you only need to be Friendly with the Argent Crusade to purchase the tabard, at which point you can quickly earn faction rep by running dungeons with their tabard equipped (also called “Championing”).

While championing, a great choice is to run either of the following pairs of dungeons: (H)Utgarde Keep and (H)Utgarde Pinnacle, or (H)Azjol-Nerub and (H)Ahn’kahet: The Old Kingdom. Both pairs of dungeons are fairly quick to clear, and each pair has entrances near each other (to save travel time). Optionally, you can also avoid killing the bosses and then exit/re-enter the instances after killing the trash in order to earn even more rep each day. You can also run other instances if you get bored with the above suggestions, and you can run normal instances as well (but they won’t give you nearly as much rep).

The other way to gain rep with the Argent Crusade is by doing daily quests. There are two dailies that will be available at the start of WotLK: Slaves to Saronite(A)/Slaves(H) in Icecrown, and Pa’Troll in Zul’Drak. Once Phase 3 arrives and the Argent Tournament unlocks, you can do the Champion Level Daily Quests for faction rep.

Who Needs the Argent Crusade Rep?

The Argent Crusade has good blue-quality pieces for heroics and early raiding and they are available at Honored, which you can get by completing their non-daily quests, plus a number of epic quality items sold at Exalted that will be good picks for raiding (listed below). Additionally, you can pick up some excellent Head enchants, plus a design and a pattern for Tailors and Jewelcrafters.

• Head Enchants
  • Arcanum of the Fleeing Shadow – Requires Honored. Good for any role that needs shadow resistance.
  • Arcanum of the Stalwart Protector – Requires Revered. Unless you have engineering and need the extra defense, this enchant is probably BIS if you are a tank.
• Tailoring Patterns
  • Pattern: Brilliant Spellthread
    • The spellthread is worth getting Exalted for, as it will be in high demand for casters.
• Jewelcrafting Designs
  • Design: Guardian’s Twilight Opal
    • This is a good gem option for tanks with meta requirements or want more TPS, ok choice but there are usually better options.
• Gear
  • Agility DPS – (Boots of the Neverending Path)
  • Holy paladins – (Helm of Purified Thoughts)
  • Enhancement shaman/hunter – (Polished Regimental Hauberk)
  • Caster DPS – (Signet of Hopeful Light)
• Achievements
  • The Argent Crusade – Earn Exalted status with the Argent Crusade.
  • The Argent Champion – Earn Exalted status with the Argent Dawn and the Argent Crusade.
  • Northrend Vanguard – Gain Exalted reputation with the Argent Crusade, Wyrmrest Accord, Kirin Tor, and Knights of the Ebon Blade.
  • 40 Exalted Reputations – Raise 40 reputations to Exalted.

Argent Crusade Quests

Except for a few quests in Howling Fjord, the majority of the Argent Crusade quests are found in Dragonblight and Icecrown, and Zul’Drak.

The Argent Crusade Reputation Rewards

These rewards can be purchased from Veteran Crusader Aliocha Segard, the Argent Crusade Quartermaster. He can be found at the Argent Vanguard in Icecrown. As indicated by the list below, he sells a variation of items that are of rare and epic value. This includes items such as Signet of Hopeful Light, which requires reaching Exalted with the Argent Crusade.
