PvP Restoration Shaman Stat Priority

In this section we will be covering the stat priority list for a Restoration Shaman as it applies to PvP combat in Wrath of the Lich King!

1. MP5/Critical Strike Rating
2. Spellpower
3. Resilience
4. Intellect
5. Stamina

There are two ways to prioritize stats for your Restoration Shaman. Critical Strike Rating works well for builds revolving around the Lesser Healing Wave, while MP5 (mana per 5 seconds) stat allows for more frequent casting of Healing Wave.

For a typical build, you will want to max out your MP5 as much as possible: 450 without being buffed should be your goal while still maintaining a high value for Spellpower. For the Lesser Healing Wave build, you will want to prioritize Critical Strike Rating. Even then, you still want to keep a decent amount of MP5.

Your Resilience should aim towards 1400 – anything above that rating is still nice to have, but the soft cap you want to reach is 1350-1400.

Intellect is a stat that should not be neglected since it offers Spell Critical Strike and benefits the mana pool.

Last but not least, Stamina. Due to how our talents work, a Restoration Shaman should always have a high stamina pool – the more, the merrier.
