How to Get the Temporal Anomaly Rune
As of Phase 6, all runes and skill books can be purchased from Rune Brokers in starting zones and major cities for 1 copper a piece. Each of these vendors is simply named “Rune Broker” and can be easily spotted by their purple glow, lurking very close to where new characters enter the game. You can see all of their locations in our guide below.
Original Discovery Method
To get the Temporal Anomaly rune, visit the Librarian who gave you the Icy Veins and Spell Power runes to start the quest A Lesson in Literacy. You must be at least level 42 to pick up this quest. Here are the locations for the librarians for each faction:
Garon Wendell is located in the Mage Quarter of Stormwind City (38, 81).
Owen Thadd is located in the Magic Quarter of Undercity (74, 33).
The quest will send you to collect three items:
- Pristine Owlbeast Quill x1 from owlkins scattered around The Hinterlands:
- Zukk’ash Resin x5 from wasps at the Writhing Deep in southeast Feralas:
- Farraki Papyrus x8 from Zul’Farrak Zombies inside the Zul’Farrak dungeon
- These are the enemies that spawn from the graves that are found about halfway through the instance
Turn in all of the items above to learn the rune and get your Personal Spellbook, which will allow you to conjure Comprehension Charms for free!
